Wow - that B-21 is an impressive plane. It would be fun to take that one around the pattern a couple of times. Of course, given its size, the size of the pattern might be a cross country (LITERALLY!) in itself.
Yes - the evolution of Flight Sim has been impressive as well. What an enormous project! Faithfully translating all of those static and dynamic aircraft and scenery characteristics into code had to be a monumental task. And all of those folks design folks had to be working within some fundamental design parameters - which had to be challenging to establish. (Hey guys - what rules are all going to be playing under?) And to undertake the design of those fundamental parameters was a major task in and of itself. I could just imagine the discussions that went into the fundamental design decisions! I’d bet there were all sort of politics being worked out, e. g. “I’ll give you and your group that parameter if you give us this one.” And while the current MSFS is very impressive, I would not be surprised to learn that there are some design folks at MS or Asobo who are thinking that the present version is of a somewhat quaint historic nature and are preoccupied with the NEXT version. It’s hard to imagine it being any more realistic than the current version - but, then again, we all said that at the very beginning as well.
30 years in the Air Force! Impressive. Flying the aircraft - or fixing htem?
