Mouse Cursor Not Working in VR - v1.6.3.0

tried with new beta 1.6.11 today.

It seems to be fixed now.

I can click ‘Ready to Fly’ without any problem.

when I touch VR controller, interference between mouse and VR controllers happens, but It converts back to ‘mouse only’ mode right after I move mouse again. I think It’s expected behavior.

(edit. interferencing between VR controllers and mouse is a little bit annoying, but playable. hope to be some improvement with it)

That is the old expected behavior so if that’s what the latest beta does, it seems like they have fixed it. I haven’t had a chance to try it.

Did anyone else notice a very slight jiddering or “image virbration” inside the HMD?

In my Pimax Crystal OG i noticed it. Very slightly even if I held my head completely fixed. Also the controller had a slight movement.

I wonder if the controller beeing in “constant motion” in the view of the sim is the problem since the sim still thinks someone is interacting with the controller and hides the mouse.

But then again I am not sure, if it was the case before or if its just some kind of tracking issue i am experiencing in my headset.

I felt similar things, but I cannot express clearly.

It seems like VR controllers are became more sensitive and taking control from mouse.

That’s why I mentioned that ‘Interferencing between VR controllers and mouse is a little bit annoying’.

It did not revert back for me.

If it did, yes I would think that would be expected. It works as intended in SU3.

Interestingly, It (does not revert back to mouse) happened to me also. But only once.

When I tried again to confirm it, It reverted back again and again as expected. So, I am thinking it’s related with caches or something else. Don’t know exactly what the cause is.

Hmm
I may try it again then.

Didn’t work for me. Same behavior as with the original bug report. Can’t use the mouse.

Same, mouse still not working and the vr controller is always present, not fading away.

Have to say this is irritating and reflects on the overall workmanship of the product since it is so obvious.

My take is that they don’t use VR, apart from the occasional flight to check some stuff….If they used this would be fixed right away as it’s something we really need. And don’t get me started about the EFB still not resizeable when they said it would be fixed in SU3…..

Reverb G2. What helps me is pressing Windows button to bring up the WMR panel. Then the cursor appears and stays in MSFS.

This one is kinda driving me nuts. I flew Saturday, and for whatever reason (I have no idea why) the mouse cursor worked just fine. I thought it was fixed. Tried again last night and no mouse. As suggested above, removing the batteries in the controllers works as a workaround. But that’s a pain to have to do every time, when this is the only game or VR app I use that has this issue.

My mouse was sort of working for a few days, but the last few flights no mouse at all.

The mouse is there on the monitor but not in the VR headset.

Controllers work as normal, but I really prefer the mouse..

I got my mouse working today, followed 5 minutes later by a freeze and a CTD.

Restarted, and now no mouse again.

Gave up and went to FS2020 (where the mouse etc is working).

For my last 3-4 flights also mouse was working fine. The thing with the Quest 3 is NOT to use controllers once you turn on the headset and use hand gestures instead go connect via Link. Then mouse becomes recognizable in MSFS instead of controllers. That’s a workaround for me until it’s fixed.

Wouldn’t be simpler to opt out from SU4 beta and still fly the public release version of MSFS2024?

We need to get this sim to a better place. I will stay in the beta and report on problems as long as I can.
