Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• yes

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• Freelook is completely unusable with mouse as it was in 2020. But it’s not just the free look when trying to use a mouse on console, any of the push/pull knobs are unusable to select to.. push/pull. ex: heading knob or to control the WT Garmins.

Not sure if relevant, but did notice when hovering over said knobs it shows that a mouse with thumb buttons on LH side are shown.. these buttons do not show to be configurable when looking at hardware settings under the mouse. 2020 mouse settings do not show them but also just shows a “normal” mouse

If relevant, provide additional screenshots/video:

Off the top of my head, by default ALL axis are reversed, truly bizarre how this slipped through.

Still not able to use the new Flight Sim because this bug makes it impossible. Try career mode and see how far you come on a Xbox X with a mouse attached. It’s a shame that Microsoft doesn’t resolve this…

XBox players can’t do anything. Not since release. This shows how serious we are taken. FS24 looks worse than 2020.

I’ve had this sim since release, have not had a successful flight yet. With this mouse bug one just cannot fly properly, especially the big jets. I feel like ive been fooled, ignored, ripped off…and many other things i could say but id get kicked off the forum.
Can i please appeal to Microsoft/Asobo, community managers.. Can you please please tell us what the heck is going on?
Come on, youve got my money, ive got an unusable product in return.

thankyou so much.

Quick fix, if you are able to access your mouse DPI if you have a gaming mouse for example, turn your mouse DPI down and see if it solves the problem.

So I have proof that I found the issue. Essentially the issue is a DPI issue. If you have a gaming mouse with 4000DPI and more you will be affected.

I don’t have this issue until I turned up my DPI to 4000, and I lowered my windows mouse cursor sensitivity to maintain my original sensitivity.

So the Fix is if you are struggling now is to lower your mouse DPI to like a DPI of 800-1500, to compensate increase your windows or xbox mouse sensitivity.

Also there is no reason you need to use 25000 DPI on a gaming mouse.

It will be a solution for PC, if you read well, it is a problem for those of us who have an Xbox and play with a mouse. I have tried several mice with basic DPI and it doesn’t solve anything. Xbox players have been without a solution for a month and a half, it’s sad but Asobo/Microsoft isn’t doing anything.

But you can? What is stopping you lowering the mouse DPI on PC first and than using it on xbox?

I don’t think the mouse holds the settings. The mouse only sends signals. The internal PC mouse software controls and saves DPI settings. Once moved back to Xbox the mouse still sends the original signal. You need DPI control on the Xbox or internal controls on the simulator.

They do, at least most do, what gaming mouse do you have?

Logitech mouse. Works fine on PC MS2024 but not Xbox. I have tried several mice.

Logitech mouse has a knack for having extremely high DPI and I see this is why you have this problem.

Try downloading the logitech G HUB program and check the model of your mouse and turn down the DPI to at least 1000.

Also it does not matter if you tried several mice as all those mice could had very high DPI. What matters is the mouse DPI.

If you are using a wired mouse or a bluetooth mouse the mouse can both receive and transmit signals although many mice (particularly the cost effective ones) only transmit. If you are using a wireless RF frequency mouse (dongle) they generally only transmit but do not receive signals. Hence the problem.

As these devices (very common) only transmit… adjusting the dpi in one device will not transfer to another device.

These devices work well in MSFS 2020 on PC and Xbox and work well on PC for the most part in MSFS 2024. They work within the UI of MSFS 2024 on Xbox. The problem only exists with certain views within 2024 (cockpit, external, first person).

Microsoft/Asobo will need to fix this for many users or force them to buy specific mice. This will not sit well with many users.

Thanks for the tip. Appreciate it. I put my mouse on my partners pc, played with the dpi etc. Unfortunately when back on xbox, still not usable. Also tried other mice, no joy.
Im so flippin angry about this. Nothing from Microsoft, silence. Treat us with utter contempt.

I stopped playing with the hope the game gets fixed. Why is Asobo delaying a fix for the mouse issue on Xbox. Is it going to be like the Thrustmaster Hotas issue with 2020 where we did not get a fix for months?

Hope not. I have to say though, its now over a month so im not hopeful. Im reinstalling 2020. Im afraid ive lost faith in Asobo/Microsoft. The money ive spent…ggrrrrr!
