Ahh OK.
It is still broken on PC.
Maybe I will create a new bug report in case they don’t see this and presume it is fixed on both Xbox and PC!

I put MSFS2024 on my son’s old beater laptop. There was no mouse freelook issue. You’re not talking about the same mouse freelook issue that plagues Xbox.
Hmm. This one is the mouse acceleration issue, if you move the mouse slightly too quickly the camera just goes way too fast and spins round too much.
Finally!! It works
I am so happy to have it fixed, thank you Asobo and Microsoft - and all the others that helped with the resolution to the issue.
Mouse now working on Xbox
For me now the mouse is even not working in the menue. Now i cant click on anything. First it was not useable in game because of acceleration. Now its not useable at all…
I had similar. Tried signing out and rebooting the xbox x and it fixed the problem.
Reboot, reinstall etc. nothing worked…
In others games Mouse working fine.
That is weird how can that be that it’s not fixed for everyone on Xbox??? We all have identical systems? And I’m sure you checked but you’re release is definitely 1.3.10 right?
Confirmed fix on xbox, running SU1 Beta.
I think if you don’t run the Beta version it isn’t implemented untill the Sim update 1 is available.
I’m in Beta XBOX X. the mouse is working fine
Yes, im signed in to beta and version is 1.3.10.0
My mouse freelook worked fine yesterday morning on Xbox with the 2nd beta. However, after a reboot and trying again last night, suddenly the cursor disappears as soon as I connect my keyboard. I can still tell the mouse is moving, as fields get highlighted, but I cannot select anything with the mouse button.
I can disconnect the mouse and the keyboard then reconnect the mouse and it comes back. But just as soon as I reconnect the keyboard, it’s gone again. I quit the sim and rebooted the console with the same result.
It just occurred to me that I did create a new mouse profile in order to invert the cockpit view. Perhaps I’ll revert to the default 2024 Transversal mouse profile and see if it still happens.
Any target date available for when it s out of beta?
Early March I would guess. Given the pushback for unknown issues.
XBox Series S user here - tried a couple of flights again the other day, after a disasterous start (mouse free look failure), and to my surprise - the bug seems to be fixed for me. Great!
I did get a couple of ‘blank display’ failures on the Asobo 737 Max, when switching zoom levels and using the EFB, but overall, the sim is a LOT better for me. There’s a couple of graphics glitches (gear lever seems to be bizzarely rendered for instance).
The guys certainly seem to be working hard behind the scenes, in an effort to restore public faith in the sim, and I think they are moving in the right direction.
I’m yet to try the most recent update to the beta, but going from recent reports, I’d expect it to be even better than I have experienced up until now. Wonderful stuff.
After reinstalling the Flightsim 2024 on my Xbox X, the problem is still the same. In the first seconds the sim is started and I want to begin with a free flight, the mouse acceleration in freelook makes this sim completely unusable. What a bummer. After 3 months still not able to use this sim…
Good morning, it is incredible that 4 months after the launch, the problem of the freelook mouse that is unmanageable has not yet been fixed.
In addition to all the other countless bugs that the program contains and that continue to be there.
It is not right to have put a software on the market in these conditions!

Yep. It’s a nightmare, because when it moves the camera too fast it also creates massive stutters as things previously out of view have to be loaded fast. So it’s doubly annoying, the lack of control of the camera itself, and the resulting stutters.
Surely it’s a simple quick fix, just to remove mouse acceleration? If they can’t do this, it doesn’t fill you with confidence for the mountain of more complicated bugs and errors in the sim…
