Mouse right-click to pan now disables all flight control inputs in SU5

Sim Update 5, after a painful update process, has proven to be absolutely fantastic for me and my PC. But one change I’m having trouble with is panning in the cockpit using the mouse.

I’ve already switched the mouse mode from LOCK back to Legacy (and have reverted to the “default” profile), but when I right click to pan around (which I do way more than I realised) my flight controls all freeze until I release the right-click.

I’ve tried all kinds of changes to the controls to disable options, but it appears that when the freelook (or freelook hold) is assigned to the right-mouse-button it blocks control inputs (but not, strangely, if I assign the same thing to the mouse wheel).

I’ve seen one other mention of this issue over on the Avsim forums. Was wondering if anyone has a fix for it?

I noticed the the same issue. I have no clue where it comes from i looked through the setting for litterly an hour. Hope that someon else will find a solution or Asobo fix that. I need this function its dangerous for my passengers

Same issue. It’s awful. Hope they fix it soon

Have you put in a Zen desk ticket?

This needs to be added+voted up in Bugs… although Asobo has to be aware of this? It’s pretty noticeable

At this point I wouldn’t rely on Asobo noticing anything on their own … sometimes I doubt they even fly any of their planes in any other way than with external cam and xbox controller.

In cockpit holding on right button does nothing whcih used to allow panning around the cockpit. But outside the cockpit it works as always.

Thanks Cogwheel42 but that didn’t work for me :weary:

For anyone who reads this post, I also tried deleting everything from the Community folder and that didn’t work either using the default mouse settings or the one Cogwheel42 suggested. The setup for exterior and cockpit are identical, and the right mouse panning works outside but not inside. Any ideas??

Confirmed. Same here.

The same problem. Any workarounds?

Nothing that I’ve found, and the update today didn’t fix it either.

No solution yet am i right?

This is still an issue a year later, Nov 22, SU11.

The mouse does not block flight controls outside the aircraft, only inside.
