Moving packages from Community folder to another FOlder

Got the update and it ran fine. But when I stated the sim a bit later it never really loaded, and I eventually got a message saying it couldn’t sync with the cloud-try again, but got the same result. What do I need to move and how will the sim know where it is. I have some extra scenery and couple of mods for planes. Do I need to move it all or just the added stuff.

Thanks

The recommendation is to remove everything from the Community Folder. Copy them temporarily to someplace else and restart MSFS. Do a couple of test flights, make sure everything looks good. Exit MSFS, then add back in the Mods, preferably one at a time, but if you have a lot, that’s probably not practical. Nonetheless, if you add them all back and MSFS doesn’t start or acts wonky, then chances are one of the Mods is the cause. Then it becomes a “remove one-at-a-time and see what happens” situation.

Or you could categorize your mods. Scenery vs airplane improvements/changes vs. utilities. Pull them out by category and if it starts to behave again, you’ve managed to narrow down a little who the culprit might be.

I just added some scenery, one being Monument Valley in Wyoming which is large. I removed that and all went well. Thanks for the quick response-was going into Sim withdrawal.

Try “Add-on Linker” it’s a great little mod that really simplifies handling of add-ons.

Downloaded it and it asked for password, when I entered my FS password it said my user name was already in use. Of course. It’s my user name. I can’t find a way to contact them. Any suggestions?
