Bliss. You do need a deep desk; I keep the actual screen 30 inches from the front of my desk.
In New York and London on probably 2/3rds Ultra settings, I’m getting about 45fps; fluctuates between 30 - 45 (45 average) depending on entering dense areas., but it’s smooth. I’m using an Intel i7 8700 on 16gb 2933mhz memory and an RTX 2080, which is equal to an RTX 3070. The 10700k, 3200mhz and an 3070 on 1440p will run slightly, if not significantly better.
