MS 2024 Controllers

Logitech yoke, panels and KBSim mrudder pedals. None work. What a mess.

Same here for the moment as you need a master degree to be able to correctly set the joystick etc parameters

I have an XBox X with Alpha and Bravo controls, Thrustmaster HOTAS One and rudder pedals, mouse and keyboard, and Xbox wireless controller. The wireless controller and keyboard work. The mouse middle button (hold down and pan around the cockpit) is 100x too sensitive - I canā€™t see below the main instruments without ending up looking at the back of the aircraft. Iā€™m using the mouse because the next/previous instrument views donā€™t work as they did before. The Alpha and Bravo default bindings are all over the place, with many conflicts. The hardware sensitivity adjustments work sometimes. The HOTAS One bindings are wrong.

The biggest problem is that there is no README FIRST that describes differences, known bugs, and things you have to setup first. There is no built-in tutorial (or official YouTube video) on binding controls.

Thank you - very helpful video. I made custom camera views in MSFS2020 using CTRL-ALT-number, but it doesnā€™t work for me in MSFS2024. Any ideas why?

Thatā€™s good because I was close to ordering one of those if the win wing Airbus panels if they work

Honeycomb Bravo and a Gladiator NXT Evo stick here. Both work in 2024. However, when you load in for the first time, there is no default preset as there was in 2020. Virtually everything is unassigned. Weirdly, some of the switches on the Bravo did work natively, as did the gear lever, and the throttles were sometimes (but not always) mapped to something. But no control axes for the stick at all. Kind of infuriating, to be honest.

Also, Iā€™ve seen ZERO explanation anywhere about how the ā€œtieredā€ settings system works. If I change an assignment, how do I know where itā€™s being saved? Global? General Aircraft? Aircraft Specific? I have no clue. The system actually looks pretty good and usefulā€¦ IF theyā€™d just tell us how to use it!!!

I agree. I dont believe the controls element was developed by Asobo I think it was outsourced and maybe Asobo managed the development. I seem to recll the ATC in 2020 was developed by Microsoft in China either way its a shocking mess

This explains things pretty well. take a look and see if it helps with understanding the mess weā€™re dealt with for settings.

Might be due to conflicts. I havenā€™t looked at keyboard mappings as I rarely use them. If I figure out something or find a solutions Iā€™ll post it here.

My Tflight Hotas 4 worked fine in the tech alpha but final release no sliders, just buttons.

My Thrustmaster Flight Stick X was working fine on Thursday with the default settings, but since Friday the throttle only goes up to a third of the way and the motor cuts out on all planes when I accelerate to the bottom. SOLVEDā€¦
I reinstalled the drivers and now it works againā€¦I think everything got misconfigured because I had another device connected that created some kind of conflict and changed the mapping

Managed to set up certain parameters and get off the ground but noticed the showcase view doesnā€™t work as it did in FS2020 itā€™s a static view ???

External 4

I have the exact same problem with my Hotas 4. Have you found a solution?

Well, I got so fed up with this debacle I requested a refund and that is now going through. Perhaps Iā€™ll come back when this mess has been sorted.

just logged on and now my Tflight HOTAS 4 is illustrated on the right of screen and all the pre assigned settings are there. There must have been an update to when I played yesterday.
Satisfied all is working correctly now.
