Msfs just reported this on Twitter : There appears to be a Steam outage resulting in users not being able to logon. We are investigating on our end.

Ahhh frick… I deleted the entire game because I thought it was an issue with my install… Gosh darn I have to download all 100 gb through a metered connection Again! I even posted about it in the bugs and issues section
The sim is really amazing, I love it, Asobo has a really passionate team and I admire that, don’t get me wrong, but they could have warned us…
Why can’t the game let us proceed and still fly even if steam is down. I got enough of local cached locations I can fly in. Why just hang and not let us move forward?

D’autres disent la même chose. Même si ce n’était que dans les zones enregistrées dans le cache.

ALL: Please VOTE so that Asobo / Microsoft fixes the bug of hanging game when there is an outage and allows the game to load even if xbox / steam is offline . Let us at least play based on local cache or offline mode: Allow the game to load even if steam, xbox, microsoft, or Azure servers are down
