MSFS 2020 and 2024 CTD while loading

Both MSFS 2020 and 2024 crash while loading. 2020 gets to the screen asking if I want to start in safe mode, doesn’t matter what I answer, it CTDs.

MSFS 2024 only does the initial splash screen, the screen goes blank, I get a notification to press Alt-Z to open NVIDIA overlay, then CTD. No option for ‘safe mode’ though the ‘running.lock’ file is present in the program folder.

All Community folders are emptied.

Well, thanks to my stupidity, I’m probably done with MSFS2020.

I did a reinstall of 2024, moving my community folder to another drive. 2024 now works with the community folder moved back. Still have to reenable Navigraph and all the other stuff.

Did a reinstall of 2020, did not backup community folder, I renamed it but kept it in the same directory, now it’s gone. STUPID. I suppose over time I can reinstall only the aircraft I used.

At least it’s working.
