It’s really weird how random this issue is. Last week, could barely sim because of the problems, this week is been great for me here in the uk, yet i know others also in the uk can’t sim.
Also, decided to test a theory I’d heard that having too little free space on a drive can cause stutters… so wanted to move the install to a whole drive just for flight sim. So i deleted a bunch of stuff from one of my drives and moved it all, except a few bits obviously didn’t copy right so i had all kinds of errors… thought to myself, “oh no, time for a fresh install, bang goes the next 2 days”… yet i saw some of the fastest download times I’ve ever seen in the sim. Still not line speed. I have a 900mb symmetrical connection, but usually the sim gives me about 25mb tops… well last night i was seeing around 150mb to 300mb for the majority of the download time.
So maybe, with the issues 2024 had at release, they actually ARE doing SOMETHING about the servers for both games?
I know that others are still having many issues, and I’ve had the same since 2024 came out, but just thought I’d add this info as a data point. Never seen speeds like these with the sim before.
