Lets not automatically presume its on purpose. When you add new servers for each CDN, you have to adjust the networking to accomodate those new servers. The child company that takes care of the CDN for Microsoft (I forgot their name), they might not be following the same procedures at each installation. So some places in the world where the CDN is configured correctly things are working great, and another place where the CDN network wasn’t configured optimally, people may be seeing issues.

Report what you are seeing, and which server you connect to. I am expecting some installations may have to have the networking looked at. But I don’t think this is what people are thinking where servers are being removed.

I’m not specifically referring to anyone on this thread, but it’s funny how a few months ago 2020 was bug filled and Asobo wasn’t giving us adequate support. But now that some people want to go back to it, it’s become the greatest simulator ever made and Asobo is sabotaging it so we will all want to stay on or move to 2024.

No they won’t. This is a fact
Has been said in one of the dev q&a’s

Same for me last night. I have very good internet connection and I got the error message about the voices due to connection…something like that. I just got 2020 a month and a half ago after uninstalling 4 yeas ago trying to give it a another chance. I’m on the east coast U.S. Northeast

There is already 2 threads on this that were merged and it started the same time 2024 was released dont really need a new thread. A few of us have had problems with 2020 and bandwidth issues ( mine seem to be sorted now but you never know)

A little tip, if you start the sim completely offline, it will start quickly regardless of the server that is causing these eternal loads, then connect the internet to your device where the game is running and that’s it, the only thing you will have to do is connect manually and disconnect before exiting the game because if you leave it connected we return to the problem of eternal loads, as for photogrammetry we can’t do anything, but we can do what I just mentioned. I’ve been doing it this way for months and it’s perfect and if anyone thinks it sounds cumbersome, what do you prefer, keep waiting to see if this time it starts quickly or my method that only takes 10 seconds…

Have you tested you connection speed?
Tried rebooting your router?
Considered using a VPN? - no I do not think this should be necessary either!

I recently experienced very slow download speeds (before 2024 was released). Initially I thought it was a server issue - speed tests initially seemed ok. In the end I did try a VPN which did seem to resolve the problem.

However, I did a little more trouble shooting and 2-3 week later and discovered one of the ports on my router appears to be faulty and was actually the cause of the slow downloads. Using one of the other available ports download speeds went back to where they ought to be. I have continued with the VPN as I paid for a 2 year subscription and it is a relatively low cost per month. What I do when the subscription is up remains to be seen.

Wait. Do you mean Windows 95, which can still be run, be it with an ‘overtime support and security parches’ fee? Yes, really, really bad man! They are one big very lousy company, and we all suffer from their policies. They really shouldn’t exist. Our lives would be so much better without them.

I rest my case.

in regard to what?
He states thew complete opposite.

Throttling…

okay why do i have the best performance in my life in msfs 2020 then?

Erm. My reaction wasn’t to your post, but to helikopter’s. I used yours to make my point, being ‘speculation’.

kk, now i got it. It´s still beyond me whats going on.

What i DO know is however, that i´ve been chasing that smooth 60 FPS experience for the past 2 decades. I don´t count FS95 & 98 as nobody knew back then what the heck an FPS was.

Hello from Peru. I’m currently using MSFS 2020 in an XBox Series S. One of the things I enjoy the most is flying with my friends from college, some of us in the same city, another one abroad. I like the fact that I can fly from my console and they fly from their PCs, we’re all sharing the same virtual skies.
So, I want to ask here, is this possible across 2020 and 2024???
