Hello from Peru. I’m currently using MSFS 2020 in an XBox Series S. One of the things I enjoy the most is flying with my friends from college, some of us in the same city, another one abroad. I like the fact that I can fly from my console and they fly from their PCs, we’re all sharing the same virtual skies.
So, I want to ask here, is this possible across 2020 and 2024???
No. MSFS 2020 servers and MSFS 2024 servers are two separate “worlds”.

Same issue here. Eventually I did get in, but CTD before I took off (and my last CTD was a long while ago)

Same. MSFS 2020 launches, fails to connect to online services upon checking for installation, goes offline but loads, says connection successful and then CTD.
The CTD part is new!!! Seems to be happening to everyone trying to launch 2020 based on what everyone is reporting.
Same here. Can’t access MSFS 2020 at all. It keeps trying to download a 0b update that never downloads.
Same issue, I’m in the UK. Been trying for the past hour to get on MSFS 2020.
During the boot screen it tells me there’s no connection, that there must be a problem with my internet (tried flushing the DNS and rebooting my router). Briefly, it sometimes says “Successfully Connected”. But when it eventually loads up to the main screen, the marketplace and server options in the top right are greyed out and unselectable. Then, about 30 seconds afterwards, CTD.
I’ve never had anything like this before.

I did get “online services not available” a couple of times an hour ago (in the US), but all is working fine now, flying VATSIM. I’ve not gotten this behavior in many weeks. However, I think I’ll stay on the sim and not exit (by choice, anyways).
Suggest that people having this issue post their country/region to see if there are any trends (I see one in the UK).
Same issue here. Phantom update of 0mb, sim loads normally with the ‘Connection Lost’ warning, aircraft loads and surprise CTDs… No issues whatsover yesterday. Maybe the weekend is overloading the servers? Idk…
I’m seeing the exact same problem. I gave up on MSFS 2024, too many bugs. Now I can’t even load 2020.
Not happy with breaking 2024 they turned their attention to 2020 as well.
