Made changes still crashes… fs 20 & 24 are on the same drive ? also would norton be stopping this somewhere.. i must admit this is crazy ? so dam annoying

I will need two files from you. The first one is a new file from the DXDiag report, and the second one is UserCfg.opt. Please attach these files in your reply.
Just to be sure, in the MSFS directory that UserCfg.opt resides, do you have 2 in there? one with a .opt and one with a .opt.txt?
Your attachment has the .txt extension which MSFS would not read, so wondering if you have 2 copies in there and are updating the wrong one?
As a safety measure, you can also just cut them out of there, paste them to your desktop and fire up MSFS.
It will create a fresh one (minus your settings) but will at least be default / correct. If it still crashes, then go in and updat the DX12 line to 1 and save. Ensuring you are saving .opt and not .opt.txt
I’m also wondering about the .txt extension. I’m not sure if he just added .txt so the file could be uploaded for download, or if he actually has two files: usercfg.opt and usercfg.opt.txt
If there are two files, the one that should be edited is usercfg.opt.txt - but the .txt needs to be removed so that the file name is simply usercfg.opt
If Windows asks whether to replace the existing file, you should confirm.

Hi , I have Today Tried to re configure some throttle and joystick settings ,and noticed that the computer keeps crashing ? yesteday i was running fs2020 absoloutely fine ? Have i missed something about any problems ? The settings seem to be acting strange like not taking effect ? or acting in a strange way
