Hi,
MSFS2020 is currently installing on my PC. I am almost certain it is installing on my C:Drive (small SSD) when I meant to install it on my much larger D:Drive (HDD)
Can I easily move this after installation or will it be an uninstall/reinstall solution
Thanks
Yes you can easily change it later. Just point MSFS to your new D drive folder when you restart MSFS.
Use the Windows app process.
You can move a PC XBOX game to another drive in Windows 10 settings. The files downloaded from the store (the small installer); that will always be on your C drive (if not mistaken?). But for the game files you can move:
My buddy used this method yesterday and said it took approximately 20 minutes and worked perfectly.
Many thanks for the encouraging replies guys. Has stopped me worrying, Download has now reached 86.79GB.
Getting close!
87.69 now !! It is slowing !!!
If it stops, End Task on it. Then restart your PC then reload the sim. It’ll pick back up. This was what we found in the Alphas/Beta and is now in the main FAQ.
Mine takes about 4-5 hours to download. And it does not matter what your internet connection speed is as it related to the Azure/Amazon (servers used by MSFS) for distribution.
Seems to be working faster now. Has reached 89 GB
You guys are brilliant help.
Thanks to everyone.
Bet I spend lots of time here in the future as I progress with MSFS2020
