MSFS 2020 is not starting up

Hi All,
I need a lil help here. I have built a new PC for FS2020 with recommended configuration:
Here is my config:
Ryzen-5 3600
GTX 1650, 4GB GDDR5
16GB RAM
500 GB NVME M.2
Windows 10 Pro (not activated)

I installed FS2020 through xbox pc pass. After installation, when I click ‘Play’, the application icon is appearing on the task bar and task manager, but vanishes after few seconds. I tried below:

  • Restart my machine
  • Uninstalled and installed twice.
But without any success. Could someone please help me? Is this happening because of not activating windows yet?
Additional information, may be trivial: I have steam in my PC and have old FSX in there.

Please help… I am so excited to fly.

do you have the min. demand on your pc, labtop? what for hardware are installed? we need more input from you.

Thanks,

try to install or start using the xbox beta app.

You said your PC is new, right? Have you got the required drivers installed and up to date? What about all the required Windows updates?

Thanks. Let me check if I Win is updated or not. Will get back.

@GottenParsley75 @Zoomy113 I think I am missing the .NET frameworks:

Try it after restarting and see. Also make sure your monitor is connected to your dedicated GPU (I’m assuming it’s a desktop PC?) and not your motherboard.

The licensing portion of MSFS2020 may be looking for a legit license of Windows, also 4 gigs of Ram in the graphics may be not enough.

I Activated windows, tried uninstall and reinstall FS2020 through xbox. No luck…!!

Did the updates work? If not then the next step is to install/update your drivers, part those for the graphics card.

Also as I said before make sure your monitor is connected to the outputs on the graphics card (and not those on the motherboard).

Yes. It is connected to my graphics card.
I updated windows but FS not worked. I downloaded the initial package ( which is approx. 1 GB). Then the Run button is activated. When I click run, its trying to start a packager from Win32 folder but seems like its not firing up.

Try running it as administrator.

Tried that too. :frowning:

That shouldn’t be the problem, I’m running 4GB

Open the Event Viewer. Look under Windows Logs > Application for any error relating to the game.

Wow… It worked… I took a look at the even viewer and found that my joypad driver is the culprit. I removed it and now the application is running and started downloading the files. Thanks a lot for your support
