Took me 3 months to download… the sim ran fine for 2 weeks the today it starts up and as soon as the music starts playing the app turns off and closes. I’ve disabled the windows firewall, deleted and reinstalled Xbox app and signed in and out of Xbox app. Does anyone know what to do? Brand new windows pc, Xbox account and game that’s all owned by Microsoft and it took 3 months to download, finally got it installed, ran the sim for about 2 weeks, multiple issues and crashes and it’s not working. The sim ran perfectly while it was working.
Can we see your Event Viewer logs?
I just did an app reset and it’s updating all 108 gigs. Moving faster this time. I didn’t realize an app reset would delete all that info.
Re download the game and everything started up again

There is a Repair and Reset for Windows 10 Apps.
Repair: Repairs the app for Windows 10 (shortcut, store settings, cache, etc.)
Reset: In most cases it will redownload that app and reset some of it’s default configuration
Yes the reset wasn’t too bad. Took about 6 hours but all my control settings etc… were still there and she boots up now with no problem.

I’ve experienced this issue four times. Every time helped me something else. One of the susspects for me is Avast Cleanup program . I had to re-install the whole game after cleaning process by this, despite backup files were restored.
