Thank you @SeedyL3205 for the return on that, I do hope that at one point we will get those missing airports in-game (thinking about airports in Northern Quebec and Nunavut), so many of those are missing that it’s a bit jarring not being able to do regional flights up there
No need for handcrafted ones (except maybe Kuujjuaq and Radisson
) since most of them are small gravel trip with a prefabricated building serving as a terminal, just having them would be really nice

2AZ7 is definitely closed. This was an Ultralight field. In MSFS2024, they have missions using runway 26 for Cessna and Pipers to take off. That will never happen because there is a mountain at the end of the runway preventing a straight out climb. A banked climb may be possible with the Piper, but the 172 does not have the horsepower to do it. Take-offs from runway eight is possible if you keep the brakes on while bringing the engine to full speed, then releasing the brake.

I have discovered a generic issue with the runway altitude of seaplane airports in the sim on the British Columbia, Canada coast. An error has already been reported for Nanaimo Harbour CAC8:
The root cause of this issue is that, while the actual runways are shown in the correct position on the water, the location of the airport symbol is on the coast near the runways. Depending on the slope on the coast, this can lead to quite dramatic elevation discrepancies. The worst case I have found so far is at Ocean Falls Seaplane Base (CAH2), where the discrepancy is all of 988 ft! This is because there is a steep mountain cliff dropping down close to the shore, so even a small horisontal displacement causes a huge level discrepancy.
The sim’s approach to resolving this is to place a big “bubble” in the water around the runway. The first time I saw it was at Nanaimo Harbour CAC8, where the discrepancy is 126ft. I tried fiddling with the QNH but I could not resolve the issue, so I thought it was a sim instrumentation error. However, when I got to Ocean Falls with the almost 1,000ft error, it became clear there was major issue.
The discrepancy is very obvious when looking at the affected airports in LittleNavMap. This is what it looks like in LNM:
Physically. Here you can see the ocean level quite high with the land in the background dropping into a valley like a 1,000 ft below sea level! The bottom of this “valley” is actually where the water level should be.

I have not looked at all the many seaplane ports on the BC coast, but in my travels I have confirmed these discrepancies, all due to the same cause:
Powell Lake Seaplane Base (CAQ8): 279ft
Port McNeill Seaplane Base (CAM8): 264ft
Rivers Inlet Seaplane Base (CAU8): 249ft
Ocean Falls Seaplane Base (CAH2): 988ft
Kinolith Seaplane Base (CBA3): 76ft
I have the same sequence of screenshots for all these locations but it seems pointless to post them as they all just demonstrate the same issue.
NZQU represents Big Bay Beach strip (NZ-0014 which never had an ICAO), but it is now closed (replaced with residential housing), 2018 or so.
It’s a pretty cool place, but doesn’t exist anymore.
ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Puerto Williams airport ( Coordinates: 54° 55’ 52,01" S 67° 37’ 34,01" W) has trees on the beginning of the runway 26, causing an imprevisible crash.
