Hello,
I would like to report what appears to be a reproducible bug in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
System
- Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
- Version 1.7.35.0
- Windows 11 Pro 24H2
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti (primary GPU)
- NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 (used only to drive a fifth auxiliary monitor)
- Main monitor connected directly to the RTX 2080 Ti via DisplayPort
This hardware configuration worked correctly until today without any hardware changes.
Problem
When both NVIDIA GPUs are enabled:
- MSFS displays the warning:
Your system does not meet the minimum requirements…
- Simulator performance becomes significantly worse.
- At every startup MSFS rewrites UserCfg.opt with:
Adapter "NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030"
CurrentGPUDriverVersion 0.0.0
Even if I manually change the adapter to:
Adapter "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti"
MSFS overwrites it again during the next launch.
Reproducible test
If I simply disable the GT 1030 in Windows Device Manager:
- the warning disappears immediately;
- MSFS starts normally;
- performance returns to normal.
If I enable the GT 1030 again:
- the warning immediately returns.
This behavior is 100% reproducible.
Troubleshooting already performed
- Clean NVIDIA driver removal using DDU
- Clean NVIDIA driver installation
- BIOS verified
- Correct PCIe slot configuration verified
- Main monitor connected directly to RTX 2080 Ti
- NVIDIA PhysX correctly assigned to RTX 2080 Ti
- Windows Graphics settings configured for High Performance
- UserCfg.opt recreated
- FlightSimulator2024.CFG recreated
None of these actions changed the behavior.
Question
Could you please confirm whether this is a known issue with MSFS 2024 when two NVIDIA GPUs are installed?
Is there a supported method to force MSFS 2024 to select the RTX 2080 Ti instead of detecting the GT 1030 as the graphics adapter?
Thank you.
