I tried it with the tips listed here, restarting, hook earlier, hook later, I can’t get it to work
Same here. Cant seem to make it work. Tried all the suggestions and nothing.

• yeah I have same issue… No Matter what I do the allign with the banner signal will not turn green.
I’m the right speed, do everything else correct and it is aligned with the banner but just won’t hook.
I’ve watched videos of other people doing it and the “align with the banner” box should go green when you are correctly aligned but when I do it it never goes green.

… But I’ve watched your video and it’s not the same as the beginning Ariel advertising mission, the very first one. Yours is a different mission..
I’m wondering if it’s a bug on just this particular mission?
I’ve moved place left right centre up down inside and out and the align with the banner just never lights up … at all!
Even when I can see the hook traveling dead centre through the yellow cones it still does not read as aligned!

This is definitely a bug. I was having the same issue where the banner align was never becoming green.
I installed the beta and did an aerial advertising mission and was able to complete it in the first try, so i was doing everything right.
I uninstalled the beta and again same issue. Reset the career, and again same issue. I then unplugged my yoke/pedal from the computer and started the mission again. Then when i was on the runway to take off i pluged in the yoke and pedal again and was able to complete the mission on the first try!
It was seemingly a bug envolving my yoke and pedal even though i doubled checked and i had no conflicts.
All these bugs are really starting to become annoying.

Hi. When I installed the su3 beta i was able to do aerial advertising missions normally. I didnt do the same mission (the specialization unlock as this was not available).
I then proceeded to uninstall the beta su3, the error started happening again, and I was only able to get it working by starting a mission with my yoke/pedal unplugged from the computer. In the middle of the mission i plugged it in again and it worked.

This was driving me crazy. Don’t have beta 3 installed, I’m on SU2. Probably did 20 passes trying to pick up the banner and it just won’t. Yet another thing broken =\

This is broken and extremely frustrating. I like to take on all types of missions but I cannot get “align to banner” to turn green. I’ve attempted it with the grapple hook “open” and “closed”, I’ve tried it with no flaps, flaps at 10 and at 20 degrees, near stall, right at 72kts, i’ve touched tires to the ground, pitched back last second, come in at 6ft-20ft, I’ve even tried crashing and capturing after respawning in the approach, I tried the “close hook after alignment” suggestion above but no matter what I do, I cannot get the align to turn green → cannot capture the banner. PLEASE FIX
