MSFS 2024 - Game instantly CRASHES when attempting to fly Airbus A320neo (v2) and other large planes (Xbox)

Also happens a lot on my Series S and also on PC-the Airbus planes-even the A321 and A330 plus the neo v2 are unflyable on PC due to the constant CTDs for me.

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?

Yes
Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:

CTDs constant on both Xbox Series S and PC-have to fly smaller aircraft like the Saab 340 which causes no CTds unlike the A320neov2.

Yes, happens all the time with me.

Before the patch it would be every time, before rendering or before showing the ready to fly screen, and when it got to the screen it just freezed, now its like 4 out of 5 attempts the game crashes especially with the a321 when i go pass the ready to fly screen, before or after i enter the cockpit, and sometimes it freezes when i pause or go on the outside view, i’ve also seen it go with the screen black and freeze, happend to me 3 times today, the weird thing is that litteraly 5 minutes ago i just finished a flight with d a321, and it worked fine, short flight, less then 30 minutes, and didn’t spent too much time setting it up, but when i left the flight to the menu just now it froze, it still is rn

You seem to have the exact same problem as me. Are you on Xbox Series S?

Apparently the A321 has problems with FPS, a lot of lag. I noticed this in the external view, very laggy. I don’t know about you, here at Xcloud.

Im on Xcloud, but i think is the same hardware, the weird thing is that the a320 and a330 are better, not good but better, i can do flights once and a while if they dont crash too

yeah same here, also xcloud, but if i insist i can manage to do a flight, i tried a short one just to see if it would work, SBFL - SBCT, and i managed to takeoff and land, and even watch the replay later without CTD or crashing, but it was luck i guess because it didnt let me do it again, it freezed

• Yes, all the time with all Airbus Aircraft

By XCloud I am guessing you mean Xbox Cloud Gaming? If you are, it should be the same, as the servers that the games run on are Xbox Series X’s.

Are people still getting this issue? I believe it may be fixed as I can get into the planes now, even though it is laggy. However, that is a topic for a different report. If anyone is still having crashes with the big planes by Inibuilds then please respond soon, before I have to close this. Thanks!

Hey Chelseacatty, could you test the A400M and A321 from your side? Although it is now possible to log in, the A400M and A321 have low frame rates and the A400 itself has extremely low frame rates. As with both the Beluga and the A400m, trying to set the Simbrief ID on the EFB causes the controls to lock up. Of course, I am using Xcloud, I believe you are on the Series S, but the effect will be identical.

We will keep this topic open until the patch arrives tomorrow (or Tuesday) and then we will ask again if there has been any improvement in this issue.

Yes, I have been getting low frame rates on those planes, but I have been able to get in. The controls have been locking up for the Beluga at times for me, mainly the engine. Also, especially when walking around, the Beluga plane is laggy, though not sure if we are discussing the exact same issue. Not sure if you have also noticed on XCloud that the trim makes the back of the plane (Beluga) glitch slightly?
Yes, hopefully they fix this in the patch tomorrow, and then this forum can have a new analysis on whether it is fixed or not. Not sure how, but this would have to be escalated to a more severe issue if not.

I believe it is important to calibrate the throttle in all the EFB’s for the airliners, and then Restart the flight. It might take two restarts. I had the issue where the airliner just drives off the side of the runway, and I cleared it up with that procedure.

The CTDs with all the Airbus planes prevents me from flying those on both Xbox Series S and PC-Windows 11.

Very annoying for me as I prefer large airliners to smaller aircraft in-sim.

Yes-on Series S and also on PC.

Not sure about everyone else, but I can fly I believe all planes now. The large planes, like the Beluga are still extremely laggy with walking around the plane, speeding up, and adjusting the trim.

Fixed in latest patch.
