MSFS 2024 is Not Ready For Release

  • Amount of quality default aircraft, considering the iniBuilds Airbus fleet alone worth ~$30€+ each on retail.
  • New atmosphere system without any height restrictions
  • Terrain displacement which is especially great on VFR and back country flights
  • Integrated chart and flight planner system to provide an alternateive solution to Navigraph out of the box
  • Epic Primus avionics suite by WT as a default avionics solution
  • Enhanced core flight model (not talking about the “realism” of some random aircraft - aircraft behavior is unrelated to the underlying flight model design and possibilities)
  • Enhanced physical simulation on ground
  • Better multicore utilization
  • No more “horizon line”
  • More cloud types also on live weather
  • Seasons and way more biomes
  • Accurate live traffic and model matching models with few real life liveries
  • Introduction of live ship traffic
  • Better atc voices and improved atc logic (while not yet entirely realistic)
  • Better dynamic effects and lighting
  • Smaller installation size due to asset streaming (offline installation of certain packages currently INOP, likely tied to the deactivation of the ingame marketplace - once reintroduced there is no more downside in comparison to MSFS 2020)

Just to name a few besides “career” which are somewhat technical complex to change/implement. The ugly thing is that the most impactful changes which required most development time (and thus justified it to be a new full price title) are not visible on screen. These will unfortunately only become visible after tons of addons were installed.

The rest like the LOD handling issue or bugs on aircraft can happen the same way on MSFS 2020 - in fact it did:

I think we all see a similar issue here, either on purpose (to lower server stress), by some miscalculations of the sim as described in that dev stream (as the way tiles are requested changed on MSFS 2024) or by a simple configuration bug within the client.

Let’s see and wait what the announced updates will provide.
