This is a topic about the external lights of the default aircraft.
The aircraft models look nice but regarding the external lights this could be a lot better. I like that they want to simulate LED lights but as you know these lights are very bright in real life. Here in MSFS 2024 they are barely visible during the day and when the evening falls they start to become visible but even then it could be better.
Personally the external lights, nav, beacon & strobes are even worse than the MSFS2020 simulator. If you look at aircraft from other Third Party Developers even they do a lot better.
Also some landing lights are fine during the evening / night but are very weak in daylight.
Of course these are only minor visual issues but I do like to see this improved in the future.
Now I know that the simulator is in its early stages and hope that this will become a lot better.

Yes, I agree with you that the external light is so dim in daytime that it requires special zoom in to see that it is really on…

In my FS2024 the aircraft lights are still weak even with the last update (Sim update 1). Is it normal?

There is no mention of aircraft lights in the Beta release notes.
OK. Do you have the same problem with the DR400 for instance?

There’s literally 5 threads about the same issue. External lights broken during daytime in both public and beta build. Still not addressed.
