[MSFS 2024] - No Freelance Flightseeing Missions

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

I started a company and purchased the a Flightseeing company with the plane. There are no missions available and I have unlocked the following areas:

  • Central Europe
  • Florida
  • Chile
  • New Zealand

I have also done my certifications up to the Airline Pilot. Why are there no missions available??

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

All the time. Since the creation of the company several days ago.

Could it be related to this report ?: All Flightseeing missions now Helicopter only. I am not using career so I don’t know how OP was able to determine that this type of mission is for helicopter only.

Have you bought a plane that can be used for flightseeing missions in your company - you did not mention this?

I must also add that it is quite possible you are not seeing some missions in freelance but you do see them in Employee. I did a bug report about just this fact that there is a difference between what is available, mission wise, between freelance and employee and also btw PC and PS5. Esp medium cargo and private VIP missions.

Yeah I see a LOT of reports about this at the cargo and VIP level but none for Flightseeing.. so just making them known its for all flight levels.

You are right, my employee screen is full of Flightseeing, First Flight, Cargo, VIP, S&R but my freelance is empty

Did you do that “Star mission”/ special mission, those you can only see in employee mode, if you finish that, then you should be able to do them as freelancer.

And you must be at least Rank B I think to play special missions.

So I don’t know if this is the case? Hope this might help you.

to unlock freelance missions in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, you typically need to complete the introductory “Special Mission” (often a gold star icon) for each specialization (Cargo, VIP, etc.), gain the required license/level, and have money for the company license and an aircraft, as freelance missions only appear for companies you’ve established and the aircraft you own for them. These initial “Special Missions” act as tutorials to teach you the basics of each flight type before you can fully dive into free-roaming freelance work

Okay. And if you fast travel to open some more parts of the world map? Maybe that helps, Zooming all in and out off the world map?

Sometimes for me it doesn’t show any missions at an airport, but If I zoom all the way out and back in again, then I get missions.

Yeah mate tried that too. Do you think uninstalling/reinstalling would work?

Or should I delete saved data and start again? Im only 30 hours or so into it. Screen grabs in the original post so you can see what I mean

No not likely to change anything. I tried that with the lack of medium cargo.

There seems to be something going on in the background. Perhaps they are trying to fix it.

I was “crazy-flying” for three days in a row in the Colombian region, doing cargo missions in my private C172 (Career Mode). I was doing one mission after another, I crashed on the last two (due to bugs in-game connected with changing sim-rate) I am not sure if it matters. However since then, its a second day and no new missions are coming up :frowning: I will move to a different region, there are some in EU…. but I am worried now about the region I really want to expand and fly at.

Generally there are a lot of light cargo missions anywhere. What you want is a dense area of missions.
This is what I do to see if there are missions in an area I wish to fly in before I purchase.
Go to your comapny in which you wish to see if there are missions for - PRETEND to buy one of the planes you wish and can afford to fly in - go through the motions of buying it until you get to the part where they ask you to choose which airport you want to place it in. (if you dont want to buy it then go back, back until you are out of the purchase)
On that map it generally shows faintly where the most missions are for that - ie light cargo.
You can then move your plane there for a feee or buy a 2nd hand or new one for that region.

I apparently burned down all the missions, haha - they started slowly regenerating….

EDIT: also - deleted the CACHE file from the MSFS 2024 folder.
