MSFS 2024 doesnt seem to be recognizing the z axis on the pedals. I am using the G29 pedals from a racing wheel set. The X and Y axis are recognized just fine but when I try to bind the Z axis, its as if the axis doesnt exist.
I have confirmed that window sees the axis in the “Game Controllers” and I can see the input there perfectly.
Any ideas as to why MSFS wouldnt see the axis when windows does see it?
I think I figured this out, it seems MSFS is looking for a rather big range to see the axis during the scan. I had to recalibrate the axis so that the range was much smaller, meaning moving the axis a tiny bit gave large value change in the output. Once I did this the sim starting pick it up.
Many thanks for your reply. But I have tried that, and unfortunately, it did not work with my Simucube active pedal and Huesinkveld clutch and throttle combination.
Neither clutch or throttle is recognised when mapped to the Rudder Left (Yaw Left) or Rudder Right (Yaw Right).
My pedals are only recognised when I use Rudder Axis, then the rudder automatically defaults to the right rudder. So, when I get the plane moving it starts turning right without any pedal input. When I fully press the left rudder pedal, then both pedals are in line. I can only turn the left when fully press both pedals at the same time.
This is a shame because my sim racing pedals work in DCS.
