MSFS 2024 PMDG 738: Sounds disappear over time in cockpit

Hello all.

I’m relatively new to MSFS 2024, as I was basically waiting it out until PMDG 738 got released.

Anyway, I must say that I’m having a blast with it in ‘24. However, one thing that I have noticed is that after a while into the flight (and sometimes even before I leave the gate), eventually a good number of the switch sounds will begin to fade with each passing use, until the sound for a given switch will disappear completely. Sometimes, it will make a sound once, and then the next time, it’s gone.

Now I do use GSX, along with BeyondATC (so FSLTL models for traffic injection), and some 3rd party airport sceneries, so I’m thinking that the number of sim objects gets to such a level that it starts dropping out sounds to compensate, but I was just kind of wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and/or if there might be anything that I might be able to do in order to rectify this problem? I’m not even certain if this is an MSFS 2024 and/or PMDG issue. I’d appreciate any thoughts or advice you might have.

Also, as I’m rather new to this, if this question is not posted in the correct place, then by all means please let me know and put it where it belongs.

Thanks!

Thank you for responding, Mathijs; I greatly appreciate the suggestion.

I posted this query and received a response from Chris M in a matter of a few minutes. From there, we were able to determine that the issue seems to be with the use of ANR. Apparently this is a now-known issue, and is currently under investigation.

In the meantime, the work around for this is to not use ANR, which I’m totally OK with.

This has been my first time with PMDG support, and I have to say that it was a great experience, so thank you!
