[MSFS 2024 SU5][VR] Unable to rotate certain cockpit knobs to the right using Meta Quest 3 controllers

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

After updating to Sim Update 5 in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, interaction with certain cockpit controls in the PMDG 737-800 is partially broken when using VR with Meta Quest 3 controllers.

Specifically, some switches and rotary knobs cannot be interacted with in one direction (right-side input). Left-side interaction still works as expected.

Affected examples include:

  • Bank Angle Selector

  • Overheat/Fire Test Switch

  • APU Bottle Fire Switch

Before SU5, these controls worked correctly:

  • Pressing the left side of a knob → rotates/decreases value

  • Pressing the right side → rotates/increases value

After SU5:

  • Left-side interaction works

  • Right-side interaction does not register at all, regardless of controller input/button used

This results in limited cockpit interaction in VR.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Occurs every time when using VR controllers in affected aircraft after SU5 update.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

  1. Launch MSFS 2024 (SU5)

  2. Enable VR mode

  3. Use Meta Quest 3 controllers

  4. Load PMDG 737-800 (cold & dark or ready state — issue occurs in both)

  5. Attempt to interact with a rotary knob (e.g. Bank Angle Selector):

    • Press left side of knob → works correctly

    • Press right side of knob → no response

  6. Try alternative bindings/buttons → issue persists

I have the same Problem with the PMDG 777 and Pimax Chrystal Light.

Before SU5 Update it was working.

I’m finding this in non ve mode on the Xbox for the 737-700.

Some buttons and interfaces don’t work unless in shift the view point slightly. It’s maddening!

Hi!

Exactly the same problem on my machine with nearly the same setup (Win 11, Meta Quest 3, PMDG 737-800, RTX 4080 Super)

Is there any known workaround for this?
