ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Description of the issue:
After updating to Sim Update 5 in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, interaction with certain cockpit controls in the PMDG 737-800 is partially broken when using VR with Meta Quest 3 controllers.
Specifically, some switches and rotary knobs cannot be interacted with in one direction (right-side input). Left-side interaction still works as expected.
Affected examples include:
-
Bank Angle Selector
-
Overheat/Fire Test Switch
-
APU Bottle Fire Switch
Before SU5, these controls worked correctly:
-
Pressing the left side of a knob → rotates/decreases value
-
Pressing the right side → rotates/increases value
After SU5:
-
Left-side interaction works
-
Right-side interaction does not register at all, regardless of controller input/button used
This results in limited cockpit interaction in VR.
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
Occurs every time when using VR controllers in affected aircraft after SU5 update.
REPRODUCTION STEPS
-
Launch MSFS 2024 (SU5)
-
Enable VR mode
-
Use Meta Quest 3 controllers
-

-

-
Press left side of knob → works correctly
-
Press right side of knob → no response
-
-
Try alternative bindings/buttons → issue persists
