MSFS 2024 Web Planner and in-game FMS waypoints mismatch

Hello! Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but some waypoints from the web planner are missing in the in-game EFB and FMS (G1000, haven’t tested others yet). First of all, I want to point out that I did fresh reinstall without any community packages and it didn’t help.

For example, I created a route from KSNS to KBIH in the web planner, clicked Auto-route, and got KSNS SNS3 SNS V230 CAINS DCT GYLET DCT HEGIT DCT KBIH

However, when I tried to import this route into the EFB from a .pln file, it got stuck on infinite loading, same thing with the import from web.

Then I tried to enter the same route manually into the G1000. When I attempted to add the V230 airway, I discovered that BASEC is missing from the FMS (can’t find them in EFB either), as well as PANOS, PXN, and FRA.

I know that to insert an airway in the G1000, you need to enter the airway entry fix and then, on the second waypoint, press Menu → Load Airway. However, I can’t do that because these waypoints are missing.

I tried creating a plan with SimBrief (though I have no subscription), and I ran into the same issue. However, since my AIRAC is outdated, I can’t really complain I guess? I also tested this with Little Navmap using MSFS data, and in that case everything works correctly. However, planning a route in Little Navmap and then copying it into SimBrief just to use it with BeyondATC is quite inconvenient.

Can anyone explain what is happening and/or what I’m doing wrong?

Personal Comments and Observations

To confirm - you’re NOT a Navigraph subscriber?

What happens when you take the Route String from Little Nav Map and drop it directly into the EFB?

It worked for me. I took your string above - created a plan in Little Nav Map. At this point, I could create an MSFS 2024 compliant .PLN and upload it into the EFB in the sim.

But as a true test, I just took the same string, dropped it into the EFB Route String field and it parsed correctly.

I suspect you have a loading priority issue in Content.xml. I would remove a) any add-ons temporarily by renaming Community folder to Community.bak and b) remove Content.xml (save it to someplace safe) and restart the sim.

Yes, regarding Navigraph, I don’t have a subscription.

I’ve just done a clean installation of MSFS 2024, including deleting the msfs folder in AppData/Roaming, no community packages, and the issue is still present. When I try to paste a route string into the EFB, it gets stuck on “parsing route”, and the same waypoints are also missing in the aircraft navigation systems.

You may wish to see what Working Title can tell you on their Discord. They have a flight planner channel for questions like this.

hi @CasualClick @dpz34
I was able to build the full flight plan, but you need to use the “FPL” button on the PFD.
I entered SNS as the first point, then used the PFD Menu button to load the airway, selected 230 with exit at FRA (all using the “ENT” button and the FMS rotary to move and enter those points). As soon as I did that, the whole flight plan loaded and I selected it.
You can verify/see the entire flight plan on the MFD using “FPL” button.
That’s probably skipping some minor things (follow the prompts to “ent” to select things, etc. But I’m sure you know how to do that.)
I’ve attached some screenshots, and hopefully that will help.

Ok, thanks for the suggestions, I will try this out on Sunday or today if I have time

Oh my God, thank you very much, it worked! Finally, I can use generated flight plans from web planner/simbrief
UPD: works from MFD as well. I guess I was doing something wrong while trying to load airway manually. Doesn’t explain broken imports though, but better than nothing, I guess.

Ok, I am reopening this issue. Apparently, I was in safe mode but now, with 3rd party addons (only premium deluxe + pmdg 777 from marketplace) it does not work againm I can’t load airway. Will continue testing.

your doing nothing wrong the discrepancy is between:

Web Planner navdata
In‑sim navdata
Avionics package navdata (G1000/G3000)
EFB import validation logic

When any one of these is out of sync, you get exactly the symptoms you’re seeing…

After some testing, I figured out that the missing waypoints do appear if I disable and then enable any USA world update, and this has to be done after every launch. Good enough but no permanent fix yet.
