We invite all sim pilots to join us for an in-depth multi-leg tour of the islands of Japan. In this series of 24 flights we will take our favorite bush planes and fly low and slow over the mountains, lakes, rivers, cities, farms and highways of this spectacular country. Including over 100 points of interest, we will explore Japanese history and myth, share cultural trivia and travel stories, and just have fun flying. This is the closest you will get to Japan without a passport. Join us for this aerial adventure!


Japan! Flight #3: Exploring the Kii Peninsula
Today we head inland over the mountains and valleys of the Kii Peninsula, the birthplace of Japanese civilization. We will fly over Japan’s tallest and most sacred waterfall, a secluded hill-top monastery, a mountain top town famous for its miles of flowering cherry trees, the keyhole-shaped tombs of Japan’s ancient emperors, and the holy city of Nara, Japan’s first major capital. Join us for this trip into Japan’s misty past.

Nachi Taisha shrine, Nachi Falls, Shirahama, Koya-san, Yoshino-san, Asuka, Nara, Horyu-ji temple.

Is an Aokigahara flight planned too? I have a Carenado Cessna 182RG and a Carenado Piper PA28 for such GA flights.

We flew over Aokigahara in our first Japan flight a couple of weeks ago. You can find the flight plan in our Discord in the japan-tour channel under Japan Flight #1 if you want to fly it by yourself.
