In X-plane, the off-design conditions bring about drastic changes very quickly.

I can make it stall

Compare with X-plane.

Unless MSFS is trying to be a Xplane simulator, then there is no reason to compare anything to Xplane. Xplane has also its realism problems so if planes do not handle like in Xplane that does mean absolutely nothing in terms of realism.

I have just watched some videos of power off and powered stalls on YT as well, and it is pretty spot on. Maybe your AOA was too low. If you pitch slightly higher, the stall is more dramatic.

Many real pilots with tons of hours in 152 stated that 152 and 172 are really close to real aircraft in terms of flight dynamics. Other planes less soā€¦ it is a hit or miss.

Iā€™m currently doing my PPL and can confirm that the stall characteristics on this mod are fairly accurate. The power off stall exercise happens pretty slowly, the stall warner goes off and the nose drops. Releasing the yoke back pressure whilst adding power is enough to unstall it, you donā€™t push forward.

Hi there. First, congrats for the C152 Mod, very well done!!

I wanted to ask, if you were able to adjust the Propeller RPM to match the POH, with proper HP? Iā€™m trying to improve the Default C172, but it seems impossible to match RPM to Horsepower. If I set proper HP, the RPM is too low, if I increase RPM, the HP will become too high. And the Propeller Efficiency and Power CF doesnt seem to be doing anything?

Thank you!

Thanks, but this is the 110HP at 2550RPM POH, found everywhere, whereas the JPLogistics add-on is supposed to reproduce the 115HP at 2700RPM version.

Or am I mistaken somewhere ?

Hi,

Thanks for the great mod! I am new to FS2020.

I was wondering the same as Nez Haut above. As it seems the modded version is the higher power version of the 152, I guess the tachymeter limit should be 2700 rpm ? Is it a game limitation maybe?
Also, if anyone could recommend any curves or sensitivity setting for the 152, I would be glad. I find it a little twitchy but that was my first flight with it yesterday.

Keep up the good work!

Pierre

I think he dropped the higher horsepower a long time ago because, well, there arenā€™t many, if any, 115 HP airplanes to be found out there.

I have done some stalls in C-152ā€™s back in the early 90ā€™s, then switched to the Piper Tomahawk. I remember the 152 being comparatively tame - you really feel the pitch down in a Tomahawk. In the sim I too was expecting a more dramatic stall. Maybe we would think it was more real if we could feel it in our seat!

What? Do you have a death wish?

Iā€™m confused. The title of this post is v0.9.71. The title of the latest release on GitHub (the hotfix) is v0.9.71 and says it was released on March 10.

The manifest of the version I downloaded in January says itā€™s v0.9.75.
The manifest of the version released on March 10 says itā€™s v0.9.75

How are we supposed to keep track of what is what if you donā€™t change the version number for every single release? I donā€™t care if itā€™s v0.9.752 or something, but, please, change the version number and update the manifest appropriately, or weā€™ll never know what is what.

0.9.71 is the latest, I made an announcement saying the manifest was showing incorrectly!
I havenā€™t made any updates recently
I have just gone back and checked previous Manifest Versions, March 01 was V0.9.70, March 10 with V0.9.75 (Incorrectly changed via the game editor as I requested V0.9.71)

In January we were on V0.9.4 which I have redownloaded the archive and it shows as V0.9.4?

The Engine is currently being worked on as you rightly said, not many 115 HP Engines around!

I am currently reworking this, I am also writing a dedicated POH for the mod!

Josh,

what engine is modelled in the current version? :face_with_monocle:

Would that not be better to keep modelling the most common 110hp ? Because there be more pilots able to confirm the behavior of the plane and engine parameters. Me for instance :yum:

Pierre

Just installed it ā€¦
But just wondering if t ereā€™s anyway to confirm if itā€™s working?(does the mod plane have a particular reg or color? Also assume it overwrites and replaces the stock 152 and aerobat and is active with all added liveries?

It doesnā€™t touch the Aerobat model, but selecting the standard C152 will make the mod changes available
