MSFS_C152 Community (V1.0.0!) - Updated: 09/10/2021

I don’t think it’s specific to the mod or aircraft in general but for the sim rather. I’ve noticed with a lot of default aircraft they all have a tendency to pull hard left OR right under light/NO wind conditions. The rudder in this sim is incredibly twitchy and is still one of the sore spots remaining for it that has yet to be solved IMO.

I don’t notice this in the DC6, or larger jet aircraft of course, but it’s almost present in all single engine, whether it’s tricycle or tail setup.

Hey everyone is there a way to tell if that mod has been added correctly and is working?

The red lamp below the AMP gauge goes red if below 1000RPM, the co-pilot/passenger can be turned on and off after pressing the speaker button, pressing the DME button will make the nav frequency alternate between frequency and distance at 5sec intervals, and the small toggle switch will turn on instrument lighting.
Apart from improved flight model I think thats it.

I might have missed the instrument lighting switch. Where is that?

The instrument lights switch is to the Left of the beacon markers.

That’s the DOME light switch. No backlight instrument switch?

Try spinning the knobs at the top of the dashboard!

I completely missed that…

Amazing job on this mod!

Echoing @Dillet1974 on the wish for the mod to support persistency - this is one of the main reasons that Just Flight Piper is my go-to GA aircraft: Just makes it feel like it’s “my” plane, when I forget to pull the parking brake and it’s still not on next time I jump in

Thanks!
And regarding persistence, the little C152 might be a backup plane when V1.0.0 gets dropped!
There may be a surprise in there for you!
Multiple things have been added!

Josh,

when will 1.0.0 be released?

Hello!
It’ll be released on the same day as the new Sim Update 5 which is planned for 27/07/2021 as long as it doesn’t slip!
It had to wait until then as it’s completely incompatible with the current public version!

I cant wait, its a great little plane

This is one of my favorite planes in MSFS, so glad to hear all this.

Well this is great news!

How much more excited can we get about the 27th?

Only 12 more sleeps, as I won’t sleep on the Monday night!

So, obviously I don’t want to give too much away!
The run-down of what’s already known!

  • Working shaded sun-visors!
  • Weight based Cargo Options
  • Completely reworked lighting system
  • Flight Model over haul
  • Opening Doors/Windows
  • New sounds to accompany the new animations

This is all I’ve given out so far (I think…)
But off the top of my head there is much more we’ve done!
Oh, not forgetting the OAT Gauge that’s actually the right way around! after my unfortunate mistake in the last release
People have also requested “Persistence” between games, I’ve scheduled this for the release, currently on my priority list as it’s not as simple as I thought! But it will be ready!

Upon release, I shall release a video explaining all the changes, quirks etc!
There will also be a mini-series on how to deal with a few very minor incompatibility issues with existing community liveries (most are absolutely fine), which is a super simple copy and paste fix!

I am excited!
I really wish I could share some images/videos etc with you, sorry about that!

Wow wow wow wow!!! Thank you so much!

Is it possible for those of us in SU5 to test it?
What @AmbitiousPilots did, is to put the beta version as a separate download on flightsim.to, and encrypt the zip with a password

At the moment, things are changing like every couple of hours so any released version quickly becomes old but the extra set of eyes would be nice…!

Obviously we’re under Asobo’s NDA & the mods current beta is pretty much under the same rules, only 3 of us currently have exclusive access to it!

I’ll definitely join! I can send you DM proof that I am indeed in the beta.
