MSFS_C152 Community (V1.0.0!) - Updated: 09/10/2021

Hi there, been reading about your mod, I decided to install. I dont add much, the JF Arrows were my only additions till this.

I just moved the main folder into “community”. Was that right?

Then I took a quite pleasant flight of about an hour ending with a nice landing.

I haven’t flown the 152 since buying the arrows, so I dont remember how it handled. How do I know the 152 I flew was the mod?

A la Bashir:

The red lamp below the AMP gauge goes red if below 1000RPM, the co-pilot/passenger can be turned on and off after pressing the speaker button, pressing the DME button will make the nav frequency alternate between frequency and distance at 5sec intervals, and the small toggle switch will turn on instrument lighting.
Apart from improved flight model I think thats it.

Josh,

things to implement in the future:

  • Afterburner (for that extra thrust at takeoff)
  • Air refuelling (for those trans-oceanic trips)
  • Variable wing geometry (for supersonic flight)
  • Tailhook (for carrier landings)

Don’t disappoint us! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Thanks, youvehelped me prove I’m still flying the default.

So how do you install the mod, my idea didnt work. I dont see a readme file.

In the community folder you should be dropping a folder called “jplogistics-c152”. You’re not dropping “jplogistics-c152-V099_ECOpJ” in it are you?

Thanks, Instead of “localCache>packages>community” I put it in “localState>packages”.

Funny the community file is so hard to find.

With help from Maki and Anoilyrag, I’ve now flown the mod immediately after flying default. Love the mod. Congrats.

Just recreated my first solo, very believably.

Please not forget the most important feature:

 only a little render teaser… but it’s all I can share for now (I think…)

A while back you mentioned possibly replacing the transponder with a more modern one and that the current DME is temporary, will these change with this release?

The transponder, no - that won’t make it too this release!

The DME, yeah the NAV Screen was always a temporary thing - we’ve now removed this and replaced with a much better version!

I may release an interior render today/tomorrow!

Hi, I’m using mobiflight+FSUIPC and find that with your mod a number of the controls will get reset after they are set with mobiflight.
Items I’ve found so far
Radio Volume Knobs (all)
NavCom Sound panel all buttons
Example:
I send in:
783938 *** EVENT: Cntrl= 66465 (0x000103a1), Param= 0 (0x00000000) COM_RECEIVE_ALL_TOGGLE
And then this event is fired right after resetting my setting:
784063 *** EVENT: Cntrl= 66466 (0x000103a2), Param= 0 (0x00000000) COM_RECEIVE_ALL_SET

Anyway you could stop overriding the incoming events
Thanks.

What is this witchcraft!

Thanks for the detailed information, we are looking into this!
It’s been on my investigate list - i will try to sort ASAP!

Not sure what’s causing the overriding…

Hello!
Are you on my discord? Please can you contact me through there or DM on here if not!

Could do with some assistance! Thanks!

I dropped in over at your GitHub looks like you might be getting it sorted.

I see a towbar, not sure if that’s indicative of being able to tow the 152 around.

Can you consider modding the 172 as well? Especially the classic version

We have the just flight pipers which are really high quality but for cessna aircraft especially 152 and 172 we only have the default versions which are really way below the pipers.

Wow! Nice work! Is that a digital/LED tacho in there as well? (The red area on the gauge).
