To give some context, I recently had some issues joining the SU10 Beta, so decided to do a clean install of the sim, and when prompted in the content manager upon reinstalling, pointing the install directory towards the current installation files that I had moved, to trick MSFS into doing a clean install. After uninstalling it via the Xbox app, I am now faced with the issue of the client absolutely refusing to install both via the Xbox app, or Microsoft Store, it gets stuck on either ‘Starting Download’ when trying to install through MS Store, or the below message when trying to install through the Xbox app.
I’ve removed all trace by deleting the remnants of it in Appdata/Local/Packages, so how is it trying to ‘Move’ files if the sim isn’t even installed as far as my PC is aware. I flat out refuse to reinstall windows just to solve this issue, as if MSFS had a proper installation process this wouldn’t be a problem.
I’ve tried
- Resetting and Repairing Windows Store. Also using wsreset.exe
- Leaving Windows Gaming Preview from the Xbox Insider Hub.
- Running Microsoft Store Troubleshooter.
- Trying to install on a different drive when prompted.
- Reinstalling Windows Gaming Services.

Before anyone asks, yes I have tried every checklist that is provided by the mods whenever other people have similar issues, and nothing from that helps with my problem. I flat out refuse to reinstall windows just because of MSFS, as if there was a proper installation process in place, people wouldn’t keep having issues like this.

Here is what happened after I rejoined the Gaming Services Preview through Xbox Insider Hub, and Repaired and Reset the Xbox App in Installed Apps. Notice how now it shows as Downloading, yet there is no movement or activity on this.
Here is what it gets stuck on when trying to install through Microsoft Store instead.
