MSFS crashing when switching to VR

So I have the Oculus Quest2 and a lot of hiccups but for most part it’s been working.
After MSFS update 13 I made one flight in VR with no issues but now every time I switch to VR the sim shuts down.
The only thing that changed in my system was I installed Nvidia experience software to modify the color look on the sim, I had it before with no issues but for a few months I didn’t have it installed.
I did try uninstalling it and also rolling back drivers but MSFS still keeps crashes when switching to VR.
Normal flying works with no issues.
My next step was going to reinstall MSFS and Oculus but before I take up that painful task does anyone have suggestions as to what to look for or try?
Thanks

Hi Wingchop. I had the same issue and did some digging around. A post from a year ago suggested to update OpenXR Toolkit. If you have that, it’s probably not compatible with the updated sim. Try downloading the newest version, or go into the app and disable it with the checkbox. This worked for me. If you don’t have Open XR, then I’m sorry. I can’t help you. Have a good one and I hope this solves your issue!

I checked and it looks like I’m up to date, just saw a new thread with someone having the same issue since the last MSFS update so it may be some new bug.
They mentioned that turning VR on through the VR panel in Msfs settings works so I will give that a try

So I got everything working again in case someone has the same problem it looks like when I installed the Nvidia software it turned on direct x12
When I switch back to 11 everything was working as it was before.

How do I switch between direct X 11-12? I’m having the exact same issue with my G2.
Super frustrating

The setting is in the MSFS General Options menu
