I need help please
I just reinstalled my pc and MsFS a few days ago.
I was able to launch VR without oculus or Steam VR runtime and it was very smooth.
After installing Steam and steamvr for other games, the VR runtime pointed in the registry editor is steamxr.
I would like to re configure the msfs default VR runtime, but I don’t find how to.
Any Idea please?

If you’re using a Meta Quest then installing SteamVR might have changed your default OpenXR runtime. I think you can

Open Quest Client
-
Go to Settings > General > OpenXR runtime > click Set as Oculus as active
..and it should be back to how it was.
Actualy I didn’t install Oculus client (neither SteamVR).
So, initialy, I suppose MsFs was using it’s own VR runtime.
And that’s it that I want to reconfigure.

I’m not sure if this apply to you, but I can change the runtime in the registry.
Just follow this link after you’ve opened the Registry (Windows+R → Type “regedit”:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Khronos\OpenXR\1
Edit the “ActiveRuntime” to one of them below what applies to you:
For OpenXR-Runtime: C:\WINDOWS\system32\MixedRealityRuntime.json
For SteamVR-Runtime: *F:\Programme (x86) \Steam\steamapps\common\SteamVR\steamxr_win64.json
*Wherever you’ve Steam installed.
