If the updater is running and I tab out to try to play something else while waiting, it does not release the controller.
Even when MSFS is minimized, moving the right stick in another tab will highlight the ‘open forums’ option in MSFS and clicking ‘A’ will bring me here.
Eg. Clicking ‘A’ while in another game jumps back out of that game, and opens a new browser window with the MSFS forums.
I let the controller time out while having Need For Speed in focus, to see if reconnecting the controller would link solely to NFS, but it reconnected to MSFS as well.
It’s kind of neat that the controller can connect to two apps at once, but this is the first time I’ve ever seen it happen. And I could be stuck updating for days (speed is avg 5megabits and the updater keeps quitting. Guess the Xbox users are really excited 
).
Anyway, while this won’t help me during the current download, thought I’d submit the issue.
