Got my weekly mail from Sporty’s and, I’m wondering if MS/Asobo have some personal friends over there. Its a good article on the surface but, there are some serious exaggerations said about MSFS that cant be overlooked.
Specifically:
And what’s better yet is they’ve programmed all of these aircraft to perform just like they would in real life. V-speeds, avionics, cockpit configurations, weight and balance characteristics… they’ve left no stone unturned.
The “left no stone unturned” is a characterization that SHOULD have been left out; or where are the numerous other failures and random failures that cannot be programmed…where are them stones?
But there is NO WAY to determine if an aircraft is even somewhat like its real counterpart, when the weather is totally broken. Get the weather to at least be working before making wild claims. Who knows if the atmospheric pressure or the temperature is correct and even somewhat real? There are no cirrus or stratus clouds so what else does not exist? who knows? - And still not a single peep from Hi Fi Technologies…possibly too much work to do on the weather???
A covid-era endorsement (with exaggerations BIG time) or is MSFS really as valuable as actually flying? You decide:
