is it just me? When i visit flightsimulator.com the News Feed doesn’t show the latest News article. Currently the latest shown to me is 4th of February. Had this issue a couple of times now. Sometimes it helps to refresh the page, most of the times i have to go to the forum to read the newest article. Had this on multiple computers now. So it’s unlikely to be a problem at my browser?
Yep, same here, had it for quite some time. I am usually on my iPad and refreshing one or more times or shutting down the iPad then restarting usually brings it up, but annoying. Cheers.
The problem you have observed is a caching issue. Basically, your browser is rendering old data, and it may even be receiving outdated data. This has been affecting both HTML and CSS. I have reported this to the community managers, but I have no information about a potential resolution.
The good news is you can still access new blog posts, even if you can’t see them on the index page. Just type the expected URL into the URL bar. In the meantime pay attention to #community:news-and-announcements as posts are duplicated there.
When a new dev update is released I find that it’s necessary to log into the Flightsimulator page before I can see the latest update. Some time later, duration unknown, I can see the latest dev update without the need to login.
This is why I set my Edge browser to always clear cache whenever I close my browser, so I don’t keep junk in my browser that risks it loading outdated information.
