MSFS Keeps Moving / Changing Multiple Monitor Screns

Every. Single. Flight. Changes full screen assignments to windows, moves both side screens to one monitor, changes main screen resolution, more. This is now beyond f**king old. Am I missing something? Is this what we are supposed to live with?

Been scouring web sites for an answer, so far nothing. I do use Tobii 5 with my setup but no sense that is doing it. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks!

Found this… Not sure if this is what you’re refering to but I went ahead and referenced it. Let us know. Read the entire thread as this resolved that issue. I know you’re talking about MSFS but it maybe relevant.

Thanks but my normal monitor setup is not affected. This is only my three screen setup inside MSFS 2020 under Experimental settings.

Found this also, sounds similar to your issue more so than what I linked earlier. Hope it helps!

@TinJungle79134Thanks SO much! That seems to have done it for me as well - resetting the data!

Appreciate you giving me the links - been busy and have not had time to track this down myself. Love the help I get here! Thanks again.

I also have this problem since day 1, every time I start or stop flying, switching in and out of VR mode, the side screen reset to window mode and gather under the main screen which is annoying to say the least. I hope someone find a solution to this madness.

I’m having this same problem. I read the thread at the link posted above by @TinJungle791349 but the solution there is a cryptic suggestion to “Go into options and reset the data.”

Any idea what this means or how to do it?

For anyone still looking for a temp fix with the monitors constantly resetting. I basically updated the UserCfg file in you MS directory with the value below for me and made it a read only file. Bear in mind you will not be able to make setting changes.

For me I essentially updated the second ‘WindowCustom1.Monitor 2’ to ‘WindowCustom1.Monitor 1’ as MS kept changing it to a 2 and as a result was overlapping.

Directory:
‘Users_yourProfile_\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator’

||WindowCustom0.Monitor 2|
||WindowCustom0.Windowed 1|
||WindowCustom0.FullscreenBorderless 1|
||WindowCustom0.WindowActive 1|
||WindowCustom0.Resolution 2560 1417|
||WindowCustom0.FullScreenResolution 2560 1440|
||WindowCustom0.PosX -2560|
||WindowCustom0.PosY 23|
||WindowCustom0.CameraDegRotationAdd -1.700000 -92.300003 1.900000|
||WindowCustom1.Monitor 1| <—this field
||WindowCustom1.Windowed 0|

I solved this issue, Go Dev mode
2.Debug
3. Check Windows Wasm Save exit
4. Exit Dev mode (your windows will turn black)
5. Restart the game (you should no longer be in Dev mode (Wasm should no longer be checked).
This solved my issue 3 monitor stay in position, no longer resetting.
