You have to set that monitor up in tablet mode using a Windows Control Panel pane. Thereās no way to do it in Windows 10 Settings. Iād give you specific directions, but Iām not at a Windows computer right now. I think that once you know to look in the old Control Panel, though, you can figure it out. Once set up, Windows is pretty good at remembering that the monitor is a ātabletā that should register touches on itself rather than a touchpad, like on a laptop, where the touches are supposed to be be registered on the main screen. However every once a while, I have to set up my two touchscreen monitors from scratch. Just takes a few seconds.
Thereās a setting in windows 10 and 11 itās something like calibrate display for pen and touch input or something along those lines. Goto that setting, choose setup⦠it will then show a message on each screen one by one. If itās a touch screen, press the touch screen once and then click enter on your keyboard, for any non touch screens, just press enter and it will move on to the next screen.
I still have to redo this process from time to time for some reason, otherwise i get the same thing, the touchscreens are kind of active on the main display instead of on the actual touch screen.
Having a touch monitors that arenāt the main screen seems to confuse Windows a bit. So by default, it doesnāt work very well unless the main screen is a touch screen.
As others said, you need to run the Tablet PC Settings app and run through its setup. Once you have, it will correctly recognize all your touch screens properly.
Hello guys
I would like to use this software but when I follow steps iāve got an error message (unable to popout) i use w11 + su11 beta on dx12 + x3 tv 4k for view + x3 tv 720p for pfd nd⦠i would like to pop out on the a32nx⦠thanks for your help
I have two touchscreen monitors, neither set as primary. I have never even glanced in the tablet PC settigs (if there are any). All I ever did was to open a cmd prompt and type
multidigimon --touch [return]
This puts a prompt on each screen in turn. Tap any touchscreens as they get the prompt or just press return if it isnāt a touchscreen.
Thatās basically going to the same setting part as weāre all using, but without having to search for the setting and start the process manually⦠in other words, thanks very much! Iām now gonna save this in a batch file to make it much easier next time i need to do it! Legend!
Currently, the UI function to add or remove a panel does not exist other than editing the user profileās JSON file directly and it hasnāt been a needed feature requested by users. In any case, Iāll look into this feature and will try to implement this into the app.
Typically I use the UI for this and itās pretty simple and intuitive. If I have 2 identical windows, like MFD / PFD, once I get the first sized and placed perfectly, Iāll manually resize the second using the X and Y sizes in the UI. I get it places correctly on the X position, then enter the Y position manually as per the other popout. That way theyāre identically sized and in the same Y position on both screens.
Love this concept⦠but youāve still got an issue with the battery startup ONLY starting the PFD⦠In order to fire up both the MFD and the PFD, you need to turn on the battery AND the avionics.
Battery only turns on the PFD⦠thatās it.
I can see above that this was reported months ago, but I never really saw any resolution.
This is the Asobo Baron G58⦠maybe itās different in other planes. But this is the only plane I fly.
Hi, Im having a hard time getting this to work, I select the panels fine, then I go to pop out panels and the camera angle shifts in weird locations away from the 1,2,3 circles I have placed in the middle of the panels?, im running triple screensā¦why is the camera moving on pop outs and how can i stop this from happening. thanks!!
In addition, its telling me it cant pop out panel 2 when it clearly has popped it out and good to go?
Iāve just tested Asobo Baron G58 and power on for cold start does work on this aircraft G1000 NXi panel. The only thing you need to do to get auto pop out working should be just checked the box āPower on required to pop out panels on cold start (G1000 / NXi Only)ā and when starting the aircraft in cold and dark, PFD and MFD both should power on. Iāve published a new version of the app v3.4.5 for an unrelated power on cold start issue that may have contributed to the problem youāre having.
The only other thing I can think of that your avionics failed to turn on is if youāre using any flight control hardware that control battery or avionics (such as Honeycomb Bravo) since this hardware will always override the SimConnect signal my application sends to turn on and off power and avionics.
You can prevent the cockpit camera from moving by unchecking the preference setting in File => Preferences => Pop Out Settings => Enable Auto Panning.
Also, maybe the cause of the issue is please try not moving the mouse when pop out process is occurring since POPM will take over the mouse cursor during pop out in order to click the panelās magnifying glass icon in the panel title bar to separate the panels. Your error seems to be an issue of failure to separate the panels. The total expected count of panels (2) and POPM only detected one panel when the pop out process ended.
Sorry guys for not being able to update the app for the past couple weeks because of medical emergency. Anyway, this v3.4.5 update is mainly to fix an issue when using Power on for cold start for G1000 panels in order for auto pop out to work. Also just tested that G3000 has this bug too in SU10.
The other feature is POPM will auto close when the sim exits. You can disable auto close in preference settings.
Iām at a lost of what could be causing your issue as I tried to emulate your setup in PMDG 737 and tried to setup exactly like yours using MSFS experimental multi window feature (Iāve an AMD GPU) and was not able to reproduce your issue. Your 2 selected 737 panels definitely got popped out but were not able to separate. I havenāt received any reported issue regarding panel separation since I updated the code from couple versions ago. So it is most likely thatās not the root cause. The only thing I can think of is somehow your 3 monitors setup is causing an unexpected problem.
One thing to try is would you be able to run the sim in just one monitor first and see if POPM works by disabling the other monitors in Windows Display Setting? When pop out process starts, you should see panels pop out to the upper left corner of the screen at coordinate (0, 0). If single monitor does not work at all, then we know something is stopping my app. By looking at your earlier screenshot, it looks like youāve a 1080p screen as your monitor and it is very common.
