Been on MSFS Steam version for 6 months without issue. Yesterday I used the sim in the morning and all was OK. Later I restarted the sim and was faced with what I think was an Accessibility screen and narrator which I clicked through, but then got a 20 Gb mandatory update. It all seemed odd as I had updated with the Maverick update just a day or so before . It looks like MSFS has basically done a complete reinstallation of everything but in the process, all my customizations, views etc have all been wiped and everything is back to default.
Is this a known bug, or have I done something to cause it ? Is there any way to store / backup the settings etc so that they can be restored should this happen again ?

UPDATE
Loaded up MSFS this morning and all my custom views were still missing. However, left the sim loaded for a few hours and now all the custom settings have been restored ! Does MSFS store that info in the cloud somewhere ? Not complaining, just relieved.
