Okay I updated my sim to SU11 this morning however now every now and then I loose connection to live servers for weather and scenary etc and sim goes into offline mode. Tries to reconnect but after some time it drops connection. Basically it is not steady. My internet connection is fine, Any one noticed similar issues after the update?

Yes, this seems to be a big problem. Hopefully is sue to many people still updating and the servers not able to keep up with the traffic.
Hopefully in a few days everyone will have updated and the servers become more reliable.
Yeah, this has happened a few times now.
I generally have a personal update rule to avoid SU or WU updates until at least a few days have passed.
I broke my rule this time 
and have seen the disconnect/reconnect cycle.
I’m sure it’ll calm down during the week. It’s a weekend, and a holiday one at that for some, so….
4 hour VFR flight, 10 times disconnections and reconnections. Enjoyed the flight immensely regardless.
Thanks for your response guys I thought I was only one - But now seems I can’t even connect to live servers and at the moment live weather is not available for me. I guess it is down to the servers.

Try turning Multiplayer ON if it’s not already; this allows you to switch servers. East Coast USA currently delivering 27ms response (pretty good IOW).

I’ve managed to install the update (1.29.28.0) today but since yesterday when I start MSFS it is always offline. Seems it’s searching for an available server but can’t find one.

It’s gonna be a tough weekend folks - everyone’s trying out the sim with the new content.
Repeated disconnections and reconnections have crept back in with this update, and the game is now virtually unplayable on my PC due to frame rate stutters and freezes. Before the update it played really smoothly. Cleaning out the community folder seems to make zero difference.

impertinence that Asobo has not yet commented. The problem has existed for more than 24 hours

No or very minimal Real - Time Traffic at airports. I think servers have absolute load for the moment.
Servers are definitely still having issues. I would strongly recommend against users doing unnatural things to get this to play. I uninstalled/re-installed yesterday in such an effort and I’m pretty certain it was just this core connectivity that was the issue. By the afternoon things were fine. I am guessing we are in the same state this morning. Just wait it out. Its not, for once, you.
Hi all! First time here and unfortunately my first post is a complaint. Heh This may seem trivial considering that people all over the world are having server issues. But to me, because of this, they should extend the sale by a day or two or by however long we’re down. I want to take advantage of that sale and saw some things I want before it all went down. Maybe that’s not the majority of folks. I don’t know.
Also, maybe it’s just me, but the offline play hasn’t been great to my GPU. I’m wondering if the update has way better graphics that the demand is higher. Anyone else experiencing higher demand on their GPU since the update?
Anyhoo, I’m just looking forward to flying and learning more about flight. To see the helicopter stuff in there has me so excited. Because I hope to get my pilot license to fly helicopters. I love planes too! But, helicopters just really have me hooked.

I had to give up updating, the download speed drop to 3mbps, It would have taken the whole night, so there will be no flight today either.
Had the same problem on the east coast usa server. Changed to west coast usa server and it is stable.

I am a STEAM PC user. Here we are stuck at the UPDATE check screen for several tries. I just looked at the MSFS DB on STEAM and now at 19:30zulu we have triple the number of users on SIM compared to what we had daily (from: 5000 to 17,000 users only on STEAM…lol … imagine in total?
Yeah, I’m here in California and a few times the download wouldn’t happen and the game showed disconnected. Then, it connected (after 4 attempts) and the download went smoothly. Of course though, I can’t do a large chunk of things with the servers down. Still, I can practice flying with nothing live but there are activities with the update that require online service. Just have to wait and be patient. But, should we really have to for something we paid for? Why wasn’t this anticipated? I mean, THE WORLD downloaded an update. Nobody saw that coming? Heh
