So everytime I start my approach and landing, no matter the graphics setting, high, medium or low, it always “stutters” duribg the last 1000 feet, causing me to lose control of my plane, it has ended up in me crashin a few times, after 9+ hour flights, it makes landing normally, nearly impossible, ive tried everything i could, I would really appreciate if someone could help me, below is a link to a video of the “stutter” and yes ik that the landing wasn’t good, im still trying to learn how to get better at landing, but this “stutter” is not helping, the “stutters” occur randomly, sometimes at 50 fert, right before landing, causing my wing to hit the ground
Personal Comments and Observations
Video link appears broken, doesn’t playback.
hopefully this works
I don’t know whether this is the same problem, but I inevitably begin to stutter heavily on approach but it usually smooths out by the time I’m on final. I had assumed it was an LOD issue, but framerates are pretty stable with other heavy loads like photogrammetry cities and such. Only airports seem to be the problem.
you can see the video attached to the dropbox link above, and see if your stutters are similar to mine, because i literally lose control of my plane for like 3 or 4 secconds everytime it stutters
Hi, have you tried removing all mods, add-ons, and third-party MSFS programs to see if the stutters still happen?
ive gone into safe mode, but the stutters still happen
I can definitely see the stutter. But are you sure you didn’t flare too early?
I also don’t know if this is a solution for you, but I find that if I go to my BIOS setting and disable Intel Virtualisation Technology (or whatever AMD equivalent is), it reduces my stutters significantly. So perhaps it’s something that you can try. But I do know that this may not be a solution for everyone.
What are your systems specs, I increased my RAM memory and it helped me got rid of the stuttering.

no, by the time i was landing it was pretty much fine, it was mostly ob a pproach, when the plane was yawing, and pitching after some pauses, that was the “stutters” i dont know what to call it so im just saying its “stutters” and if you can tell me how to get into bios on a laptop thatd be nice
8 gb of ram, but its on a laptop, and my parents really dont want to buy me ran for a laptop becausr theyre afraid it wont be compatible, theyve only bought me a 1 tb hdd as a upgrade for my laptop.
Well different laptop brands and model have different ways to enter the BIOS. And I’m not even sure if that could resolve your issue or not. Some say it does, other say it makes no difference. So it’s a bit of a gamble, really.
Maybe this is a factor. I think MSFS requires at least 16 GB of RAM, anything below that is just too much for your laptop to handle. And HDD upgrade is not the right approach in this day and age. SSD should now the minimum standards when it comes to high-load demand like MSFS. HDD is just too slow to keep up with the demands and 8 GB RAM is also too small for MSFS.
I think if you want to get your laptop upgraded, you probably need to do a bit of a research yourself. Look for your laptop model and look at the RAM specs, the slots, the DDR type, and the speed. Then get a bigger one that matches the same DDR type and slot size. Also need to make sure if they’re dual/single channel and how many slots you have. Then once you find the right RAM that is sure to be compatible, then you can ask your parents for it.
And while you’re at it, replace your HDD with SSD, even 1 TB is more than enough, but the SSD is important for your performance.
ye, ik but the hdd was cheaper, and i onky got it because my laptop only came with a 256 gb ssd, and when i asked ny parents to get me ram, i searched up, the exact type, and of ram, and the maximum amount of ram i could have, but no, and a small problem if i do happen to get something to upgrade, one of the screws, is basically flat now… so i cant unscrew the back.
but yeah I wouldnt be surprised if it was the ram, but msfs runs quite normally during cruise, and takeoff, its only really during approach and landing that it starts with the problems
In this case I can guarantee from own experience it’s the RAM.
When cruising around the amount of data between HDD/SSD and processor, which is temporary stored in de ram memory is relatively low, when you get closer to dense scenery it’s were the ram is kicking in more.
I had the same, you can see it in my video above here.
The only way you could fix this is to lower your settings or fly offline, I know it will be less interesting but your performance should be better.
Hope this helps.

Delete and turn off rolling cache - apply and save.
i do fly offline, ive attempted to lower my graphics, still had the problem though it did reduce the stuttering, thank tou for the help
