MSFS SU6 - Behaviour

I run MSFS on PC and have since SU6 been having issues every time i close down MSFS. It crashes 9 out of 10 times. Almost every time i decide to stop using the sim and close it down the normal way, go back to main menu and end it, it crashes CTD straight to desktop. I can never go back to main menu from a flight.

Anyone else?

No problems at my end.

It usually happens to me when during the VR session I make too many configuration changes.

Su6 introduced a host of fancy new CTD’s. I also have this one from time-2-time post SU6.

SU6 is so utterly broken, I’ve only flown a hand full of times (5 or 6) and this feature is present 50/50 in my flights.

Under SU5 I had a few crashes when quittng out from the sims main menu. There was no visible indicator of this, but it seemed to close very fast, and when I checked the Event Viewer I had the familiar 0xc0000005 error.

I’ve had three crashes with SU6 so far, all have been either on the main menu somewhere, two of which were importing an LNM plan a second time.

I’ve not had a crash with SU6 either during, or when ending a flight, at least not yet!

As a total guess I would say I’ve clocked up maybe ~50 hours since SU6 was released.

All - Aside from teh Joint Base Andrews CTD’s have not had one since SU6. This is the most stable my PC has been since Release. I would wager, you may have flakey memory module, run deep/hard memory test on machine and see. Update your video drivers as well. Remove things from community folder, in fact empty it, and add back in one at time, those might help you diagnose it. My first thing is the Community Folder if you have stuff in it. I keep mine down to 6 things or less.

I have had the same issue. I renamed the community folder, let FS create a new one then re-booted. No crash when exiting the sim from the menu. I am now slowly moving things across to the new community folder to narrow down what add-on may be causing it.
