HI Guys,
Does anyone have the same problem as I am experiencing and if so have you managed to solve it?
Since about March 2022 my Sim has stopped updating my flying hours. I must have around 300+ hours of flying to date but in March 2022 my UI showed only 109 hours. I did a 2 hour flight and the UI went up to 111 hours, but the next day when I logged on for another flight, my hours were back at 109. Since update 10 though, my hours have been set at 107 hours and again if I do another flight it adds the hours on but then the next day they are back at 107 hours. This problem is extremely annoying and I just hope someone has the answer. Cheers
If dev mode is on there is no data tracked make sure it is off
I actually lost roughly 600 hours after installing the beta. The logbook is useless and shouldn’t be relied upon. It should be removed until the devs can figure it out.
No, Dev’ mode is off. Thanks
who need that hours ? ![]()
If I want to know how much time of my life I spend into the virtual world, I open steam and see the play time. Assuming that MS-Store stuff have same play-time-couter.
But yes… usage of devmode and/or crashs are the most reasons to lost some flight-hours.
Hey Buck,
I had this issue until today. If you are running your MSFS on a Windows PC (Steam or MS Store does not matter). Go to your Windows Search and search for Services, It should return a result of Services (as an App). Click on it and scroll through the list of your services until you see the ones related to Xbox. My Windows 11 had 4 of them.
Xbox Accessory Management Service
Xbox Live Auth Manager
Xbox Live Game Save
Xbox Live Networking Service
Make certain that the Status column for each of them says Running and the Startup Type column for each says Automatic or Automatic (Trigger Start).
Launch MSFS and fly a quick (1 hour) flight and see if your Hours start accumulating again. Unfortunately, you’ll probably not get credit for all the hours that were not accumulated previously to the start of the issue. If this makes sense.
Let me know if this fixes your issue. If it does, pay it forward to someone else, as I am.

in special for Steam users should this completly irrelevant.
Settings on my system are default
Xbox Accessory Management Service → “manuall ( start by trigger )”
Xbox Live Auth Manager → “manuall”
Xbox Live Game Save → “manuall ( start by trigger )”
Xbox Live Networking Service → “manuall”
The game starts automatic, as expected, the Xbox Live Auth Manager by itself.
For MS-Store users is may be the Game Save service relevant, but also here: if users not played manually with the service settings, all should works fine with the default.
Steam have its own Cloud-Save mechanism.
