My friend, I totally agree with you, P3D V5.1 for real virtual pilot. MSFS is just a game, maybe a simulator at a later time.

Perhaps the mods should lock this one for good. The whole P3D for āreal virtual pilotā vs MSFS āgameā narrative is frankly tired and old.

A pretty unfair comment for a platform like MSFS, calling it just a gameā¦ Itās alright we all know that weāve still got some important bugs and even ādumbgradesā then again MSFS rocks over any other similar thing in the market.

MSFS is incredible looking and a massive technical achievement. Iām having tons of fun flying slowly around the globe in the TBM930, Iām waiting on updates and better airliners before I get back into the jets (Iām a former PMDG 737, 777 and Aerosoft A320 FSX simmer). But itās hands down the future of flight sim. Just needs time to iron everything out and get polished just like P3D, Xplane, FSX etc.
I think you are correct, it did get an earlier release and probably could have been more polished, but screw it Iād rather play what they have now then invest anymore time and money in the old sims, a few more stability and SDK updates and the introduction of some 3rd party airliners and MSFS will be the go to I have no doubts.
When has anything in the flight sim world ever moved fast haha

Thats great meanwhile some of us would rather use our older sims in addition as there are still pretty cool addons being made for them to enjoy and experience.
Just because a new sim is released doesnāt all of a sudden stop progress nor enjoyment of older titles.
Nothing is a waste of money when it brings you joy.

100% Agree, I do not think any money I spent on the older sims was a waste.
Personally I just donāt want to invest any more but definitely if you love it keep at it. When MSFS is stable and has the added features and content that everyone wants I hope most of the flight sim community jumps over. The more people in one place the better for support/3rd party products/updates etc.
Aha and what makes it different? Oh I know how, remove the state of the art weather, remove the scenery streaming feature, remove handcrafted airports, remove, remove and remove and you have to keep it ugly as much as possible. Wait one more thing, change the pricing, instead of 59ā¬, charge 200ā¬ for a professional license. There you have it, a MSFS for professional real hardcore simmers.

People still have issues with P3D and X-Plane. Crashes with PMDG/QW etc. They aināt perfect either. MSFS looks a million times better. Iām not going back and having to re-download everything to make P3D even flyable - people seem to miss this point!
Yes thatās the sad thing. A 15 year old sim is more realistic than next gen.

I fly airliners, no comparison I love P3d, but with Ga I do love low flying scenery in MSFS. I have 4 hard drives we really have the best of two worlds, the competition will keep flight simulation good for us all. If it ever gets to the point where thereās only one then we will get screwed.

Nothing beats MSFS visuallyā¦the terrain textures alone.
How is anything prior with jigsaw puzzle terrain flat baked rooftops and objects even comparable at this point?

Comparing the performance of a 6 years old sim with tons of addons probably worth hundreds of dollars to a newly released simā¦hmmm I would like the to have what ever your having mate. andā¦ real virtual pilots ??? okayā¦ I assume ReAl ViRtUaL PiLots can land real airliners thnā¦ There are real pilots and there are simmers, aka HOBBY. no need to make it complex.

What comes visuals and scenery coverage, FS2020 wins. X-Plane and P3D have other advantages, but if you are new one I would not recommend to buy x-Plane or P3D. DCS is good buy even new simmer.
Biggest disadvantage of FS2020 is that there is no helicopters.
