Let’s cross the Atlantic and go to California. This time, we’ll fly a regular Cessna 172 and and at Oceano (L52) between Los Angeles and San Francisco.

California again ? Here is Kern Valley, CA, which is part of the Bush Trip of MSFS. Still in a Cessna 172.

sky color is different. in sim it’s washed out

True. But to balance your remark, don’t forget my videos are shot with a GoPro (or Garmin VIRB) thru the windshield of a Cessna or Robin 
GoPro or not still I can see with my eyes real colors. This colors are definitely washed out. And everything looks like cartoon.
Obviously depends on the time of day and date. And the Gopro footage has unnaturally warm colors like some models tended to do, while the sim recreates properly balanced ones.
