Msfs wont run at all on my PC now?

If you fully reinstall it has the options to pick where to install it

It was also a much simpler program. Far easier for a more basic sim to be more stable.

Not having the same problems you are with the PMDG and I am using the same sim.

Did you try this?

MK - No, I did not see that. I will check it out. YES, the PMDG is most likely the best plane in the sim hanger. Their goal was to have one as close to “real” as possible, they succeeded. I loved flying it. I miss that plane, and my F-14-B model, it was a real kick to fly. Since I was in USN at the same time and saw them in RL.

Yes, again, FS-95 was simpler, but I learned to fly from a captain md-11 pilot who was neighbor, I traded that training by working on his PC and teaching him stuff. 98 was better, 2000 still more and 2004 COF was and is as well as FSX. The drawback is 32 button limit on flight devices, so my expensive controls wont work fully in them, and have to revert back to the Logitech 3D Pro, not nearly as real life. Thank you for the tip. It will go into my bucket of fixes for MSFS.

FWIW-The “Tutorial Flight for the Boeing 747-8i” document on this site is one of the best ones I have read and applied, as good as the one in the PMDG-737 folder. It’s different a bit from the SSG one in the competitor but I fly the freighter in that one, so that may be reason. If any interest, it’s a great read for fun too. Again thank you for the tip. Happy Flying!

MK-et-al - Found the thread, and copied the data into my MSFS-PMDG Fix folder. Thank you for the info. Seems to me though, clicking on the maintenance and perform it, should clear up those errors. By now, might be a fix out, won’t know. Going to take break from here/PMDG forum and wait till end of Jan 2024 and see what if anything has changed. Thank all for help. MS71

I came through this morning after downloading msfs, to find it up and running at the main screen.

Great I thought. I mucked around with a few settings then quit to desktop.

I just went to fire it up… Same thing. It won’t load. I get the Checking for updates which hangs for about 10 minutes, then it goes to the loading screen, blue bar gets to almost 99% and it just sits there literally for hours.

Fresh install, 170Gb free on the drive. I’ve changed nothing in my setup or hardware.

I’m all out of ideas. Lucky for me I just bought an Xbox I guess. But I have hundreds of dollars tied up in my PC with decent controls, yoke, throttle, pedals etc.

I give up.

Things just got worse, I’m having the exact same issue with my Xbox now !

So it must be some kind of connection issue.

But where do I start ?

Actually, my problems all started after I bought the Xbox a few days ago and loaded msfs on it.

I already had msfs open on my PC and it complained about msfs already running so maybe somethings upset both installations.

Any ideas please ?

3 Launch MSFS on PC

I have narrowed it down to a poor internet connection, speed.

May have to invest in a faster service.
