Tried starting from game icon, and from “play” button from MS Store and nothing happens. Not a single window opens.
I didn’t even get to download the update, so I really can’t say something changed from yesterday, when it did run ok.

Yesterday I flew for three hours today the MSFS icon opens to the MS Store. Any thoughts and Ideas. I really cannot afford to download another 150 GB.
This worked for me -> Went to apps configuration through Windows Control Panel. Clicked on MSFS and then “advanced options”. It opens a new screen and there clicked “repair” button.
I have tried this and other methods and still not working. I’m glad you are up and running now. Some hope out there. lol
Same problem here.
It is annoying, that there is no response to the click at all.
There should be some message displayed.“Cannot start. Try later. Try this and this”, let it be “General protection fault 0815” - but nothing at all? Just ignoring the user and its action?
I think, it is always a bad idea to release a fix just before Christmas or on Friday before a bank holiday…
PS: @Agusagaz - thank you for your suggestion to “Repair”! It worked for me.
Nice to know I’m not alone on this Holiday though I wish your flight system was working. While all the little ones enjoy their gifts I will be touring more forums for a solution that seem to be in thin air. Maybe I reinstall Prep3rd v5 so I can be flying something when the kids are playing? If I find anything that works I will let you know.
"This app can’t open"
“Check the Windows Store for more info about Microsoft Flight Simulator.”

Before this issue, I paused the game and when I came back to it a couple days later, the game was no longer open. Either because of a windows update or fs can’t stay paused for so many days. Now I can’t get it to open, repair or anything.
This was before the recent Dec 22 update. Even the icon on my start menu has a “!” icon on it.
In Windows Store is says “This app encountered a problem. Please reinstall it to repair”
Does this mean I have to download everything all over again?
