MSFS2020 content causing issue in MSF2024 XboxX

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
Build number : Release build
XBox Series X

  1. An add on Airport carried over from MSFS 2020 “Origami Studios EGKK/Gatwick” is causing the airport to not display and terminal or airport buildings in MSFS 2024. There is no option to delete this 2020 content in 2024 on XBOX.

EGKK/Gatwick

Unable to remove conflicting add ons carried over from 2020 in to 2024, this add on has carried over from 2020 and it did not work in there either is there any way for this add on to be removed from my 2024 library? Fresh instll of 2024 with out any of the 2020 content, is that an option?

Every time i load in the sim in my account/user id.

1.Have signed in on another family members account who does not have the add on and the buildings will show at EGKK in 2024!
2.Also has been confirmed the buildings are there by another forum member who does not have the 2020 add on airport EGKK by Origami studios.

1st screenshot my account with the 2020 add on in 2024:

2nd Screenshot my sons account with out the add on from 2020:

  • Not only EGKK - I have tons of marketplace scenery addons which are breaking airports all over the world - most recently EGPB/Sumburgh where I have the UK World Update and ORBX scenery for the airport, resulting in cliffs all over the place.

Interesting thing I noticed last night about EGKK in FS2024. In the sim under “My Library” it has Origami’s (old) EGKK listed as streamed. (annoying but expected)

BUT on PC, I can go look in the file structure to see what is being streamed.
So if I go to-

C:\Users{userid}\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\StreamedPackages

it lists all the streamed packages, and guess what? there is no Origami EGKK listed. HOWEVER there is an entry for a

inibuilds-airport-egkk-gatwick

Suggesting that the premium? FS2024 content has an Inibuilds EGKK version in it somewhere. Strangely the Ini EGKK isn’t listed in a search of “My Library” in the sim, which is strange! Maybe it’s hidden under a Premium content folder of something?

Or did Origami get eaten up by Ini at some point? I’m confused.

If there are indeed two EGKKs, it’s probably the conflict between the two of these EGKK’s that is causing people to have issues with missing terminals right now, with no ability to disable one EGKK or the other.

Possibly worth asking Ini about on their forums/discord.

Hmm that is interesting , and like you say could well be the cause of the missing buildings at EGKK! How do we/they even go about fixing or seeing what the issues are?.
Will head over to the ini forums later today maybe, off to sleep soon just finished my 12hr nightshift in the real world at you guessed it… EGKK

Maybe start by asking them on ini discord or forums if their EGKK is actually Origami’s old one or whether they did a brand new EGKK for FS2024. There is a chance they absorbed Origami devs and content at some point. It is confusing though, as searching packages in the sim does not reveal a Ini EGKK that I can see.

Maybe it is just one and the same. From a few years back -
“Origami Studios, in collaboration with iniBuilds, is excited to announce a rendition of Gatwick Airport coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator.”

and from Ini’s website old listing-

"Origami Studios have partnered with iniScene to bring this up-to-date representation of Gatwick to the next generation simulator "
